My 2015 Ram Crew Cab 4x4, an oddball with 6'4" bed, has started making a clunking sound when I go over bumps, even when barely moving. It happens when driving straight. I can't say I have noticed it happening or not when turning. Oddly, I don't seem to hear it as much on taller bumps. It...
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 that I am about to lift and put 35s on. Im not looking to take it to the drag strip. But, Im curious what upgrades will give it some added power. Name what you think are the top two or three. Cold air intake? Better muffler? Chip reprogrammer? Please include brands.
Does anyone have any experience with Hartes Metal wheels? I am trying to find some all (or nearly all) black 18x9 wheels. I came across Hartes Metal Monster wheels on a site. I had not seen Hartes Metal wheels on several other big sites. I am curious if they are known to be good or bad...
I think I am finally ready to order stuff to lift my 2015 Ram 1500 Bighorn crew cab, 6'4" bed. Its about 2 3/4" high in the rear. I've seen a truck posted by BowersFJ that is the setup I had in mind. I plan to get the following:
Zone 4/3" lift with Fox rear shocks
Bilstein B8 5100 front...
My 2015 1500 Big Horn came with 20x8 "chrome clad" rims. I plan to get a 4" lift and 35x12.50 tire and also want more side-wall. So, I plan to get 17x9 rims. Will I run into any problems going down in rim size like that?
Also, I am having trouble finding rims I like. I like sturdy looking...
What are good, heavy duty front tow hooks for my 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn? I see what I believe are OEM ones that are like $210 per hook. They don't look very heavy duty. But, maybe they are. I see after-market ones for much cheaper that look the same. What do yall have? And, did you cut out...
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 that I am about to lift. I planned to do 4" Zone lift (3" rear) and put Bilstein 5100s on the front to lift it enough to get it close to level. That seems like a recommended lift by many on this forum. Zone seems to have a good reputation here. Buuuut. The local...
My 2015 Ram 1500 has 3.92 gear ratio (window sticker). It came with 275/60/R10 tires, which are effectively 33" tall. I want to lift the truck and put on larger tires. I looked at 'effective gear ratio' charts and the calculator on tiresize.com. Looks like my effective ratios would be:
35"...
I think I have everything picked out to lift my 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 - except wheels. Is there a load capacity I should not go below? The wheels I'm looking at say 2200 lbs. Another wheel says 3500 lbs despite being a tad lighter. 2200 lbs just seems low. But, most of the wheels I see are 2200...
I have a 2015 1500 4x4 crew cab with 6'4" bed (longer wheel base) and 5.7L, 3.92 gears. My back tires are worn out. So, it is finally time to do a lift and get new rims. I originally wanted a 6" Zone lift with 37x12.50 tires. But, then I saw a chart showing how that affects the gear ratio...
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 in Granite Crystal Metallic. I am looking for new rims and like the look of the Black Rhino Warlord rims. I am wondering what the 'matte gunmetal' finish looks like in-person. There isn't a dealer anywhere near here. Can anyone speak to how close these rims are in...
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 and am thinking of getting a 6" lift and 37s. I am also getting estimates on building a garage. I dont know whether to get the door 8' or 9' tall. My current (full and too short) garage has a door slightly taller than 8' and my truck with 275/60/R20 tires seems to have...
The window sticker (downloaded online) says:
20-Inch x 8.0-Inch Aluminum Chrome Clad Wheels
But, when I measure them with a tape measure, they seem to be 9 inches wide. Also, All posts I read seem to indicate Ram trucks come with 20x9 rims.
Hello. This is my first post. I know almost nothing about wheels, tires and lifts. I have been reading past threads. The information is very spread out. I am hoping someone can give me information and advice on how to proceed with upgrades specific to my truck.
I recently bought a 2015 Ram...
