Thoughts on my new Power Wagon...

You can see where the rear end is jacked up to set the torsion bars for the hitch. Fun times, but the truck rides level when it's all said and done.

Thoughts on my new Power Wagon...

I pull this often with a WD/anti sway hitch. Just do the research. I can hit all the trails in Big Bend and then sleep in comfort. I have to buy LOTS of gas but I knew that going in

My Three Step Plan For A Great Back Country Vehicle

Yeah...flat lander here in Houston. We have a 37' bumper pull and I drive day in and day out loaded. Big difference is elevation to me is an overpass. I can only speak to pulling a pop up to Big Bend with stock tires for driving in elevation and even then it was what I expected considering...

My Three Step Plan For A Great Back Country Vehicle

Alpha OBD? I'm running 35's and reset the TPMS and programmed the tire size. No issues with hunting.

    2019 build

Damnit. Jealous as all get out but the 17' is paid off and the wife mandated that we have a house built. Now I'll have to wait until they come out with a 17" screen in 10 years. Congratulations.

    Actual MPG's.

11.5 to 13.5 average,Houston traffic. 8-9 with the TT @ 37'. I have never actually taken an unladen road trip so no information in regards to regular weight and long distances with consistent speeds. I want to believe that it would top 15. I'm running 35" (yes I know they aren't) KM3's. I...

    Tire size change alfaOBD

I have version 2.1.6.2 with a 17' PW. There were a few differences but overall the write up got me through. I will say I was puckered up for this one. The only parts I didn't understand completely was clearing the body and engine faults. I went back to body computer and cleared faults and so...

    Tire size change alfaOBD

I just bought everything and have reset the TPMS. You will need to go to a dealership and get the 4 digit PIN for your BCM. Texan Dodge charged me $25 to get it. I'm actually reading this to see how to do the tire size change as those are the big two for me as well.

    Everything Glued on Coming Off

Good luck. I did mine myself after the third attempt at the dealership. Basically after two tries myself with 3M products I ended up using gorilla products which needlessly to say meant that I had a short work window. Still not perfect but better than a reseller (I mean dealership who has no...

Anyone else consider the Laramie (w/ Sport Pkg) ?

I bought mine to DD and trail (with a TT). If not I would have bought a 2wd diesel. As many jacked up 2wd trucks as I see in the Houston area there is no reason to buy a fully locked solid axle 4wd unless you want to see what it can do in the rocks. At least with other 4wd trucks available...

2018 PW first road trip...and check engine light comes on

ehh. no. The codes are stored and something tripped them. That's the whole reason for the output. I'd bring it in and get them to explain why it happened.

    Help! (Tire question)

I'm in Houston so snow and ice are infrequent and I'll definitely bow to your experience there. The KM3's are only 18/32" so a little over 1/2" tread depth. I did look at tires like the Nitto Mud Grappler which is deeper at 21/32" but the reviews on noise kept me away, that and I've heard a...

    Help! (Tire question)

Toyo and General (not all models) were the ones that came up most often as close to 35". I almost went Toyo but they were all order to ship in my area so I also wanted something I could find fast just in case. Of course I have never actually had an issue with any of the BF Goodrich tires I...

Fuel gauge way off one time thing?

The level readout is close within 3/4 of a gallon or a little more since you wrote over 24 gallons and I can't say that our tanks are 31 gallons exactly in volume as with other vehicles I've owned that number was the useful capacity minus the reserve which was usually somewhere around one gallon.

Fuel gauge way off one time thing?

I'm with you on that one, until I get out west. On the way to Big Bend from Houston towing the pop-up there were two spots where I was sweating based on the two gauges I should trust. After tracking my usage I can say that the truck is set up to keep at least 5 gallons in the tank. I do buy...

    Help! (Tire question)

I've run through ALOT of actual tire size vs advertised size threads across multiple venue forums so I try to report exactly what I'm seeing with a tape measure on the ground and with the weight of my truck on them. I'm sure you've seen how personal some people take this choice. I've had good...

    Help! (Tire question)

35x12.50 KM3's on stock wheels. 17' also. Keep in mind that the tires measure out at 34" tall on the truck as BF Goodrich runs short.

Fuel gauge way off one time thing?

Never a full showing issue with my 17' but I can tell you that dead "E" on the gauge and less than 0 on the DTE still means I have +/- 5 gallons in the tank. I have never managed more than 26 ish gallons on a fill up.

    Avs aeroskin II

I still get hit by bugs, but it does a phenomenal job of keeping the chips off of the hood and top of the fenders. My truck is black and with about 10K on the clock when I put it on I had quite a few chips already.

    Time to replace the duratracs

I like in theory but having some experience with Interco (from LA, Opelousas to be exact) I think I made a good decision to blur the lines between offroad, towing and DD duties. I really like the tire though. I like the KM3's even though they are no where near 35" tall. Just work for my uses...

    Time to replace the duratracs

Installed the 35 x 12.50 KM3's Friday afternoon. They are load range E and stand 34" exactly at the outside hip mounted on the stock wheels. Truck is a 2017. I run the KM2's on my Scout in 33 x 10.50 x 15 (love pizza cutters too bad no real options in 17") so impressions so far are better...

So this is what you get

I live in Houston so as it goes I purchased the truck from a dealer on the south west side. Doesn't sound like a big deal but that 35 miles can equate to an hour plus (and I mean plus x 5) depending on the time and day. Tried using the closer dealer and with the second oil change had them...
