LEDs perform poorly in RAM projector housings. Very poorly. Plenty of test vids out there showing how scattered the beam pattern is. Now if it was the reflector housing than yes LEDs are the way to go.- blackram446

WOW - Rip Off Dealership
My dealership tried that on me on my 2013 1500. It was over $400. I told him doesn’t it have electric steering, he checked and sheepishly replied “ why, yes, yes it does” guarantee they would have charged me to do something that couldn’t have been done.- blackram446

Roll up tonneau cover suggestions
Pace Edwards Full Metal Jackrabbit. Have had it on my RamBox equipped 2013 1500 for over 10 years. Only issue was damn crows tore up the rubber wiper seals on top edge. $14 from Pace Edwards for new seals. Top notch quality, lockable. Aluminum construction.- blackram446

Floor jack punctured frame (weak spot?)
That doesn’t look like the frame. From the picture I’d say it’s right under the doors which is definitely not strong enough to lift from.- blackram446

Pennzoil Ultra Platinium on sale at Canadian Tire
In Canada at Lordco auto parts it’s $23 a quart for Redline oil. They even had gear oils and trans fluid for around same price +- a buck or two.- blackram446

Active shutters, what's the consensus?
My 2013 doesn’t have them, I’m in Alberta Canada and we see seriously cold temps here. Truck reaches operating temp quickly even in this climate. Probably a nightmare to try and delete.- blackram446

Best highway or all season tires
2013 Sport with Continental Terrain Contact AT. Great tire, just a bit louder than stock SRA excellent traction. No difference in mileage noticed.- blackram446

Driver Door Creak
I just use engine oil applied with an old style pump oiler right on the very top of the roller. Stopped the squeak completely and only have to give it a couple of drops about twice a year.- blackram446

Dang squeaky door hinge
I had same problem and dealership put a ton of grease on the mechanism, lasted a few days. Decided to fix it myself, removed all the grease and tried WD40 which only worked for a day or so. Ended up using engine oil from an old fashioned oil can, lubricated the shaft that the roller rides on...- blackram446
