I think I am done with Chrysler products

DEEP has mandated wire insulation must be bio degradable. Manufacturers add a soy byproduct to the formula. Mice love it. Makes you wiring harnesses hard to deal with. (Different for every VIN # due to options list, if replacing). Now the whole vehicle becomes biodegradable unless you have super...

    These Firestones suck

Re: Firestone stock All-Season: Absolutely worthless. Bought a new Bighorn 3500 crew cab new 9/29/17. Slid off a crown in a rain storm a month later. This is a plow truck mind you. Put 300mi on them and gave up. Got 4 Goodyear snow and ice ( I s plow a 2000' gravel drive and build an ice base to...

Anybody actually like there 3.73 towing 8-10,000 pounds

Do you guys use tow/haul mode in the mountains. I pull 7K w/ 6.4 gas w/3.73 rear in hilly country & have no trouble at all using TH. I drive in the flats 80% of the time and it will run in eco and get 16mph if I keep it under 65 w/ tow/haul off. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Black vs other colors.. need opinions

Had a black GMC SLT for 13 years. First week I almost got tee-boned 3 times by red-light runners at night. Bought a silver cap and never happened again. Just sayin! New Ram 3500 Delmonico Red w/matching cap. No problems yet. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Laramie Level 2 Equipment Group - is it worth it?

I have a 2017 Big Horn and hate the "No CD". Also a good Garmin GPS kicks the crap out of any factory NAV ($270 vs. $2000 sticker price) and the touchscreen on/off is lower right located - have to take eyes off road to see and reach easily. Garmin Drive Assist traffic when approaching a city can...

    Bed payload....

Left out a lot of info. Year, engine, bed length, cab config. 2018 Ram 1500's can carry between 1380 & 1800+ based on model details. Older trucks are generally a little less each year. Everybody does what your talking about once in a while. Watch out for railroad tracks, washboard roads, way...

    10K pounds with the 6.4 2500

Have read reports on empty mileage stating difference between the two is 1/4 mile per gal. Basicly not significant and the 4.56 is better up in Applalachins. Have no info re: higher mountains. Congrats if you get the new Camper. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

New owner needs advice on bed cover

Buy yourself a garden hoe to leave in the bed. With high ground clearance you can reach almost anything without climbing. Guy at big box stores always say "Wish I thought of that". Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

    3500 6.4 3.73 or 4.10

The 4.10 is slightly more in the option list but ever dealer in my area (150mile radius did not have one in stock). Bought a Big Horn off the lot from one dealer 50mi away. With rebates and dealer discount and 2 trades the total deal beat ever other dealers best price by $11-15k. The only...

    3500 6.4 3.73 or 4.10

6.4 is fine if you stay out of the mountains. It shifts more often than older models cause it is a 6 speed instead if a 4 speed tranny. Definately want the 4.10 if you drive in steep hilly country. New 6.4 greats great hwy mileage when empty, almost as good as the diesel and +/- $10k cheaper. I...

    Winter Plans

In New England where we get a lot of ice, the guys who go thru everything use tire chains. Worked for a gas utility Company. I was a backhoe operator going to a gas leak and could not get up a dead end street even using the hoe to pull myself up this steep hill. An old guy in a 2wd van w/chains...

    AC quit working

Do you store your truck outside for any reason. All US manufacturers used wiring with soy-based insulation. 6 years ago, my entire wiring harness got eaten by mice causing intermittant shorts. 3 month lead time to get it from GM due to fact that each harness is specific to options in vehicle...
