    Same cab (as long as it is RC to RC or QC to QC) but significant wiring differences. If you'd rather have an 03 cab (QC) I have a whole truck available lol.

    You may have to find a used one, I think most companies that offered them stopped since the 3rd gen is almost 20 years OOP plus the EPA has been cranky the last few years about people messing with emissions stuff. You might be able to use this one...

    Don't swap the PCM, you don't want to open that can of worms. The MDS won't be a problem as there won't be anything to actuate it. Default mechanical position is off. Leave the physical engine itself alone. The one thing you will need to do is block the EGR port on the head.

    You have an RFE; no bands on the RFE. You need to see if it's popping codes, starting with p0700 and praying it isn't p0734 & p0735.

    That is true, however that applies to RFE's through 2002 (trans was introduced in 1999). Guys used to swap TCM's to get their 2002 4.7 Rams the extra OD gear to try and save some gas $$. From 2003 on they were all 545's regardless of designation. If it is actually an RFE then it will be plug...

    Yes it is lifted. The actual code would have been helpful, but if it is actually the cam sensor you'll want to get an OEM sensor or you'll be doing it again sooner rather than later.

    Why the 6.1 heads? Eagle heads are about as good (and significantly cheaper), unless you're wanting the different chamber?

    As soon as you said "2 piece driveshaft". Half tons only ever had a one piece, except for the SRT. Someone put a 2500 chassis under your 1500 cab. Got any pics of the suspension or front end? A half ton will have IFS with t-bars, anything else will be a solid axle.
