    Drag Link help.

My truck sat at the dealer for a week even after enlisting RamCares and insuring the part was at the dealer. Service Manager never did give a commitment to install the new draglink. I retrieved the truck on Friday and will just monitor the draglink. Never been treated this bad in several decades.

    Rear suspension

I have rear air now so not a problem for me. Prior, with my 2003 V10, I used both Super Springs as a bolt on overload solution then also added Sumo Springs bolt on that replced the bump stops. Was satisfied with the result. I believe they are the same company now.

    No OEM shock options?

I would get with @Nick@GotExhaust . He can help sort out your options. I went with the 4600's no regrets.

    Salt sucks

Every spring after the salt is washed off of the roads I wash the undercarriage of all our vehicles with the attached tool. Every couple of years I go to the local Krown dealer and get it applied. In between, I use Krown or Fluid Film spray for touch ups. On the trucks make sure you remove the...

    Synthetic Oil

Thx everyone for the replies. Between my truck camper which frequently has the boat behind it, plus towing heavy loads both bumper pull & gooseneck, I might just stick with what has worked for me so far. PUP with Lube Guard for the past 15K miles. PUP since day 1 except for a couple of changes...

    Synthetic Oil

"Hemi 395 uses their 0w40 SS which has been proven against hemi tic a real option now" Any references for using Amsoil SS 0W40 in the 6.4L? After my last UOA, and heavy towing on my truck, I'm concerned with the viscosity loss with PUP & Lube Guard. I'll change my oil prior to my typical 5K OCI...

    Synthetic Oil

I use a mix of old engine oil and diesel on my hay wagon and 25' Gooseneck deck boards. The drippings work well as an undercarriage rust inhibitor at the same time. I just roll it on thick in the summer and it gets absorbed well.

    Correct Transfer case fluid?

And don't overtighten the plug. When I did mine last summer I was surprised how little effort it took to remove it.

2019 Ram 2500 OEM Gooseneck hitch

Before my current truck I just paid a local shop to install the Reese system I had for both a 5th wheel and Gooseneck on a few trucks. Just make sure to specify where you want the hitch relative to the axle and that they use a thick rustroofing spray around all of the openings they make...

    Synthetic Oil

I usually add Techron or the Redline SL-1 at each oil change. Will be running my small stash of Techron out soon. I have the Redline on a subscribe and save now on Amazon. After reading the latest I will be adding the fuel additive before the oil changes. Good info!

    2013 bed rust

Please post a pic of the rust. I would take off the taillights and look between the inner & outer panels of the bed. Assuming you get it fixed, I would coat the area by going through the taillights with a wand or strong spray (after it is fixed). Is there a local Krown dealer near you? Our local...

Rear Air Bags and Height Adjustment

I've always used Castrol Power1 4T or Power1 V-Twin 4T and their previous iterations for decades with good result. Walmart online typically has the best price.

Is anyone else having these paint/clearcoat issues?

Looks like typical UV degradation. Is that truck blue? Blue can be the worst for UV absorption. You may want to take it to a detailer that has a hand held microscope or buy one yourself. You want to determine which layer of paint it has penetrated to which will determine the extent of the...

303® Touchless Sealant. Anyone Here Ever Use It?

Never used 303 Si02. Use their other products frequently. I use Aerolon Tech Shine (for several years) and recently tried McKees Hydro Blue Pro. I can recommend both without reservation.

    Drying Towels

Rag Company waffle weave silk serged edge towels are my main drying towels. I have the Meguiar's also but I prefer the Rag Company's. I gave up dryer sheets years ago. We only use 4 dryer balls now. I use McKees microfiber wash soap as the detergent. There are lots of good towels out there.

Air Ride - Rear Shock Replacement Options

I would check with @Nick@GotExhaust a forum sponsor. He set me up with Bilstein 4600's front & rear. Fox 2.0 for the steering damper, and a Bilstein 5100 for the rear axle anti-hop shock. Cost effective and speedy shipping. Very pleased with the result. My truck has the rear air leveling...

First oil change on 2023 1500 5.7 Hemi

Using Google it seems that it is Pennzoil Platinum oil. Some search sites still have the PP bottle picture but most just have the Mopar logo. Back when I bought mine PP was the factory fill as well as the service oil.

    Synthetic Oil

My Son in Law is an Amsoil dealer. I was using Stihl Platinum. He gave me some Amsoil bar & chain oil. I swear the saw ran cooler (less friction) and used less oil. After reading your post maybe it was not just a placebo affect. I'm a RedMax 2 stroke oil user after having bad luck with Stihl...

100,000 mile maintenance (what I really need)

100,000 mile maintenance (what I really need)

I would do plugs and diffs for sure. What maintenance has already been done? I usually follow the severe duty schedule on my vehicles. I would assume serpentine belt, idler pulley, and adjuster would benefit from replacement as well. Have you done the transfer case?

    WOW - Rip Off Dealership

I've got nothing against BG. They have very effective sales folks. The local OEM dealers and a very reputable indie shop I go to all have drank the BG Kool-Aid. The local dealer and indie shop even tried to sell me BG services that were in direct conflict with the service manual recommendations...

    Synthetic Oil

My Stihl equipment and RedMax trimmer never "liked" the Stihl Synthetic. I thought it was just the RedMax weed wacker but my Stihl saws and Stihl hedge trimmer acted the same running rough. I even complained to the local dealer. I've used RedMax's oil for several years now in everything 2...
