    Remote oil filter how-to

    If anyone is using AN fittings, you do not have to use anything on the threads. they are desighned to be used dry. don't be a torque monster on the fittings either, just good and snug. the 37* taper is the seal. You can use thread sealer on the NPT to AN fittings, into the adopter bases. Dave

    I don't know if this will work, but maybe pull your radio out, and see if there is a separate SiriusXM antenna pluged in back. If there is try unplugging just the Sat antenna. If your radio recieves GPS from the same antenna, It probably wont work. My 2015 only has a sat antenna. barracudadave67

Debated getting black chrome or chrome, went with the chrome, cause i was warry of the black chrome, getting scratched. $ 85.01 shipped from Amazon.     I ran one in my 04 5.7, for a while. I found that as stated a good quality paper filter was better, and I didn't have the hassle of cleaning, and reoiling. I always clean the airbox out real good when changing filters, also. I think the oil type filters are a gimmick, to part gullible people...
