The 980 is larger than a Cobra 19. It is the size of a Cobra 29. What about a dash mount? They make one that utilizes the screws in the little change cubby on top of the dash and makes a flat surface for it to sit on.

Mine does the same thing including the one on the dash down by the passengers knee. Plug my phone into the cord, nothing. Unplug and plug cord back into the USB and it will then charge. I hate it. Sometimes I plug my phone in and forget to do it to the cord and it doesn’t charge.

I’m not real concerned with having high power and long distance with mine. A mile or 2 is good so I went with the Tram window mount antenna for mine. Looks like an old cell phone antenna. I have the split bench so I mounted my Uniden PC68 to the front of the center seat.

I was simply telling him that a 16 foot tandem axle trailer with a 4 inch lift is not required nor do I think it’s a necessity since he stated the hitch was expensive and didn’t sound like he wanted to invest in it. I have the same exact setup and have zero problems without a WDH. With a longer...
I agree. A properly loaded, tandem axle shouldn’t need a wdh. Especially only a 16 footer. Brakes are a necessity and required by most states for a trailer of that size. I would also recommend a forged, solid receiver. I picked one up at tractor supply rated to 16,000 with a 2 5/8 ball.

I have a 7x16 Tandem axle that I pull with 3 bikes in it. I don’t use a weight distribution hitch but I do have the Airlift 1000 airbags in the rear coils. I would recommend the brake controller. I bought it at a local dealer and installed the factory one myself. Only took about 45 minutes then...
Well, I took it back to the shop and after a couple hours, they told me they still couldn’t get it and asked if I would take it to their sister store where the tech had lots of experience. I ran it over there and in 30 minutes he had the truck driving straight as an arrow. He said the other guys...
Probably due to the fact that he quit and the shop talked him into finishing the week to train his replacement. Had I known that beforehand, I would have bought the tires and had it aligned elsewhere.

Hoping it’s an easy fix and doesn’t cost me with having to go to the dealer. I’m already getting the “You couldn’t leave well enough alone” from the wife. Lol.

First forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I’m new to forums and not real familiar with how it works.
I leveled my 2016 Ram 1500 with Bilstein 5100’s set to 2.8 and added airlift 1000 bags to my rear springs as I tow a 16’ dual axle trailer. After the lift I had 275/65/r20 Coopers...
What UCAs are good for a lift like this? I see some using Zone and some using Mevotech. I too am researching my options for a lift. Trying to decide between the Eibach or Bil 5100’s with spacers in the rear.
