2 points.
1... The pinned comment says that MSD off would allow more oil to spray over.
2... I wonder if this can be addressed by a recall or extended warranty

For those of us not driving much these days any best practices. I've got fresh QSUD 5W30 in there right now. I go grocery shopping once a week and that's a short drive even with taking the long way... Maybe 200 kms in last month.
I keep the tank topped up to reduce condensation possibility...
I subscribe to oil is cheap insurance. Change it early especially during break-in when components are doing their initial wear.

I've got another oil change in my garage. I'll put it in and if there's tick or anything abnormal I'll change it out. It's only in there for 6k miles anyway.

And this is the reason I had to catch up on 500 posts. Nice dashcam recommendations too.
Now that I'm all caught up. What's the latest on QSUD. Not terrible and if they truck is happy keep using it?

Similar mess happened to me few weeks ago. Missed the drain pan, what did go in the drain pain I spilt pouring back into bottles... swore lots then had a couple of drinks to calm down after

Changed the oil to QSUD 5w30 this evening. Maybe placebo effect... it does sound quieter tho. Not that it was loud before.
Let's see how she likes it for the full 10k km OCI I've set for my truck. She's got 30k km now. I like round numbers as it's easier to remember.

Test drove the model S before getting the truck. It's nice and all but the price was way out there and total cost of ownership math didnt work for me. Model 3 has cut way too many corners and not worth the coin IMO.
To each their own I guess.

Funny u say that. Just changed the blower on the ac/furnace today. First time taking it apart... that was a pain working in a tight space.

Use the bleeder that pressurizes the reservoir and pushes new fluid down. The ones which suck the old fluid out can introduce air into the system if the drain nipple isn't perfect.
Longest line first and work your way to the shortest.

10L/100km or 23.5 US MPG can be accomplished commuting in rush hour traffic by ***** footing the hemi.
I've also found fuel efficiency has a direct negative correlation to the number of ass hats on the road.
My contribution to this wonderful thread
