    Thanks! I appreciate the info a lot. Yeah I knew if I went older I'd have to deal with the MDS and EGR, but I didn't know much about these newer LX engines and what all changed. That one that is local is a great price but I don't think it's going to be worth the hassle. I'll keep my search...

    Yeah I already have the other engine torn down with the crank pulled out, so swapping the tone wheel isn't an issue. I just wasn't sure if iit was worth the hassle to lockout the VVT system. Also I think I read up that the exhaust ports were different on those heads. I can't reuse my heads...

    Hello Everyone, the 5.7 in my 2007 Ram is blown and I found a local 5.7 for a good price. The only catch is it's out of a 2014 Charger. I know I'll have to swap the intake manifold, timing cover, exhaust manifolds, oil pain, and engine mounts. Is there anything else that I will need to swap...
