Thanks! The Willwood item is along the lines of what I was thinking - there must be some sort of thing to use cable vs. electronic or hydraulic.
I wonder if there are any legalities with changing the factory park / emergency brake system?
Is there some kit out there that replaces the factory parking brake inside the rotor system with something that just clamps pads to the rotor that is easier to service and won't keep binding up?
When I bought my truck the first comment my Dad made was how great the sliding rear window will be to put long lumber, trim, etc. through. My response was along the lines of I'll be god damned if I just bought a truck so I could slide lumber through a window!
For clarity - this is a 2017 Chrysler 200 hub, not a 2018/2019 RAM hub. My 2018 RAM hub (which is what I was using before the Chrysler hub) never gave me problems, but I don't have any updates available according to uConnect (I'm way behind).

68283703AA arrived yesterday. Got it installed in the truck right away - pretty simple to retrofit the 2015 center console. I just used a utility knife to trim away the plastic; basically shaved it back carefully until I got a tight fit. Very happy with the fit and, as assumed, works great.
@Austen I have interference lines on my factory 2015 backup camera with the Customtronix Enzo and my Canadian UAS. I was working with Customtronix on it ... but honestly I got lazy / tired of taking my dash apart to troubleshoot. I've kind of learned to live with the interference lines.
Unfortunately 68297818AA does not appear to support CarPlay. I tried resetting the radio, both ports. CarPlay does not launch. My phone did start charging though so it was connected.
So, I ended up with a different media hub from a 2017 Chrysler 200. Part number 68297818AA. Appears as if this is for the non 8.4 inch display.
I'll try it and see if it works.
I am running a @customtronix Enzo in my 2015 (Harman) truck with a premium cluster and Panasonic head unit. I can confirm that the cluster messages and screens are all working. I do not have heated seats, but otherwise the Enzo functions exactly as advertised.
Also excellent customer support.
AMA.
Do you have to remove the factory anti-glare screen or will putting a Brotect over it help with the scratches / blotches? For some reason I thought you just put the Brotect over what is there.
I have the Brotect ... but have not got around to pulling the bezel again to install.
Interesting @BJSwizzle. Our hardware part number is identical @Mpgrimm2 I assume that means it's the same head unit? Canadian, non nav?
I also see that the UI is different - I still have digits for temperature setting whereas @BJSwizzle has the newer red / blue slider.
Would I be safe to try...
It seems to be the bottom only - it has done this a couple of times. You can tap the menu item, it shows that you've tapped it (the icon changes), but it doesn't actually change the screen.
I almost exclusively use CarPlay so that's my only point of reference for when this happens. CarPlay is...
That's what I noticed too, except that specific item applies to "LA, LD and LX with UAQ and UAS radios". The RAM 1500 is a "DS" and I have a "UCS".
Would this still apply for me?
Mine does do some odd things like the bottom menu freezing up. I see that as a fix in some version of the firmware out there, but it doesn't indicate it is a specific fix for the RAM head units.
@NovaScotia Ram bud ... we're surrounded by the Atlantic. Krown or Rust Check the shit out of her and deal with the dirty knuckles.
I had mine Krown'd from day one and the driver's side fender and the aluminum hood still corroded.
