    I will check my manual. When it says "lock" I would have to think that means you can't pull the lever out without releasing it. I was able to, as was the guy in the video. Not to mention the tow truck driver that came to pick up the truck. I do appreciate your help, and will check my manual...

    Looking closely at the video, it doesn't look like there is a lock. I didn't think there was one on mine, but I have not gone back in to double check. Maybe this is new for 2023?

    OK, just got my truck back. The dealership said that a connecter had come loose, causing the battery to die.     Yeah, I did it specifically for the UV protection. Have had issues with skin cancer, and every little bit helps.

    I did not see a release, so no I did not push it. But from watching the video, if you don't push the release, you can't pull the cord and move the device out.     I'll have to take a look at the orange pull cord when I get my truck back. I don't know if the truck has an "electric shifter" or not. I was able to pull the cord out with no issue - it just didn't do anything.

    Thanks for the tip on watching the headliner. I do have the eTorque. I also thought it was strange that the orange pull rope behind the panel below the electronic parking brake didn't work. I thought that was suppose to allow you to move the truck even when everything else quit working.

    I had my last truck done the same way (front driver and passenger windows and the windshield) by the same place five years ago and didn't have any problems. The windshield is barely tinted, but it keeps out a lot of UV rays. If it is the issue I'd think it was pretty rare - these guys do a LOT...

    I'll definitely go back to the tint shop and let them know if that turns out to be the issue. I'm just hoping the issue gets fixed and I can get the new truck back on the road. The dealer said it would be a couple of days before they could get to it.

    Yeah, that's just what I was thinking. I had no idea they used that much water when tinting a window. The place I went to is the top rated place in town. Guess all I can do is see how it turns out.

    Just made a similar move. Went from a 2017 Big Horn Eco Diesel to a 2023 Laramie Hemi. The 2017 was an awesome truck, but it's nice to get back to the hemi!

    Finally, a decent OEM sound system

    It's not as hard as it looks. I'm a big guy, and I had no trouble. Actually had them in and out a couple of times. I changed the center speaker with that same JBL speaker I used in the corners, and I thought that helped a lot as well.

    I did something similar, but also replaced the center speaker. Replacing the center speaker actually made the most improvement to my old, tired ears! I used JBL's from Crutchfield, but whatever sound good to your ears will work. I was surprised at the poor quality of the factory speakers...
