towing tire pressure - 2020 2500
I know I've seen this addressed before but can't find anything. I will be towing my 5th wheel 800 miles in a couple weeks and want to make sure I run the correct tire pressure for towing. When I bought the 2500 2 years ago, all the tires were at 80 psi, which I lowered to the door jam...- Neil E

1st - leave in tow / haul mode 2nd - 62 is a safe speed with a trailer. More than likely your trailer tires are only rated at 65 MPH (from what I here). Welcome - I am full timing and tow my 5th wheel with my 2500 6.4 4.1. By looking at your choices, I would lean towards the Grand Design, as it is the only one truly meant for full timing. 3500 Diesel or Gas for Full Time Fifth Wheel 14K GVWR?
We full time with a 2500 6.4 with the 4.1 with 14500 and have no issues. Would I rather a 3500 diesel? Yes, just couldn't justify it as we don't move much and the cost is so much more expensive (including the maintenance). If you move a lot and can afford it, get the diesel.- Neil E

2022 2500 axle ratio question.
The 4.1 upgrade costs $100 from the factory. If you order a 3.73 and decided to upgrade later, it's much more expensive. Get the 4.1- Neil E

Discreet protection from deer...
I'm not sure I believe deer whistles work either. But, my dad hit 2 deer by his house in his small Saturn. Put them on and didn't hit a deer ever again. -

Payload with the diesel is what's going to kill you. Not sure if there is anything to do to help with that.- Neil E

2021 Ram 2500 6.4 Average Gas Mileage
On a 800 mile road trip, I averaged 20 mpg when the speed limit was less than 65 and I drove it. But when I somewhat kept up with traffic, it dropped to just under 18. Normal day to day I average 13.5 mpg. 4.1 4WD CC 2020.- Neil E

Installing CarPlay in 2014 1500
I would stay away from the Android head units. If you're worried about cost, you could go namebrand aftermarket, Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer, etc. That's the route I would take as it would save money from the OEM unit. If money was not an object, I would upgrade to the newer 8.4 head unit.- Neil E

Camper size?
You don't want to look at the dry weight, you want to look at the loaded weight and then give yourself some leeway. Also, look at the payload of your truck and the hitch weight. I would find a floor plan you are interested in and go from there. They make lightweight trailers, but some say...- Neil E

2018 Power Wagon with 5th Wheel?
My 2500 Hemi would do fine with that. The power wagon would not, the softer suspension of the power wagon brings the tow rating way down.- Neil E

Should I order a 2022 2500HD or wait until 2023?
6'4" 280 and love the room in my 2020 2500. I don't see the cab changing size for 23 either. In comparison to my work 20 F150 it's huge (though I know the 250 is bigger inside). But even my old Ram 1500 (2017) was much bigger inside than my work F150.- Neil E
