Greasing truck

What DON'T you like about your RAM?
I don’t like the fact I had to change the ball joints at 80,000 miles. I don’t like that they charge so damn much to fix bugs in THEIR software. I don’t like the buggy TIPM that has to be reset instead of just replacing a headlight bulb. I don’t like the fact their 4wd system has electronic bugs...- drdarrin

Title swap?
A bill of sale is never a bad idea. It’s also a good idea to get a phone number and current address, just in case something comes up. Labor charge $115 to change fuel filters

A little arithmetic will tell you how much you can tow with your choice of tires. It’s plainly marked on the side of each. As long as their combined capacity equals or exceeds your axle capacity, you should be good. No help here on off road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Service 4WD Light
This happens to my 2012 3500 RAM as well. The connector is on the back of the transfer case. I’ve unplugged mine, used electrical contact cleaner on both ends, connected and disconnected several times then added dielectric grease when putting it back together the final time. That seems to “fix”...- drdarrin

Wow! Never heard of electric brakes on a boat trailer before. And on a conventional trailer, the brake circuit is only hot when applying the brakes, the opposite of what you describe. Being in reverse or drive should make no difference. But, that circuit is typically protected with a circuit...- drdarrin

Hitch for Protection?
I did that, left my hitch in, when I lived in Chicago. Figured it would protect my truck and possibly get me a free trailer should anyone rear end me hard enough. It worked once but no free trailer. After leaving it in for two years, it was a mother to remove! Think stout tree, 3/8 tempered... -

I own a 2012 Ram Laramie 3500 DRW with 80,000 on it. My wife and I live full time in the 5er. We pull about 12,000 miles a year. Plan on 3 gallons of oil every change and a new filter every time.
