    Rear resonator question

Remove the resonators. It will sound better. I’m not sure how restrictive they are but since removing mine, I’m much happier with the sound quality.

    What exhaust are you running

How do you like the Jones flowpack compared to the other mufflers you've had?

    Muffler options

Super 40 or regular 40? Sounds nice.

Redline Oil - Which rating is best for the 5.7?

I run 5w30 year around here in GA....no issues, but it doesn't get really cold here.

To DRONE or not to DRONE

Boy, I wrestled with this forever and tried many different mufflers. I have found through this journey that I hate drone. The only way I truly got rid of it was going with a Corsa full exhaust. Happy now and my sanity thanks me. Best of luck finding the right muffler for you.

    Quieter muffler

I would think the Walker should be almost stock quiet. Maybe go back to stock? Not sure if any aftermarket muffler will be to your liking. There are some quiet mufflers out there, but most of them will be louder than stock....especially on cold starts.

Proven Ground C&L performance muffler review

Nice looking truck and review. Every muffler I've ever had has gotten a bit louder over the first few months. I'm sure yours will change a little as well. Glad you like it. Took me several before I was happy.

    Borla 40358

I believe you'll find Borla mufflers viewed favorably here. They do provide the deep tone you describe. I used to have the ProXS muffler on my truck at one point, and thougth it sounded great....deep tone and little to no drone. I don't have LT headers, so that may make some difference in...

Another Road Trip with the Carven

Yep, great system for good sound and quiet cabin. I've actually had the full Mach 44 kit on for a year now and really enjoy it. Not crazy loud, but has good tone and virtually no drone. I bet the Mach 40 would be good as well if you don't want a full system.

    Need new exhaust!!

Yep, just get a muffler if everything after your muffler is still good....assuming you are looking for the most cost effective route. If you're open to a catback system, I can recommend the Solo Performance Mach 44 kit. Made in Canada and a really nice system. Not too loud and no real drone...

AWE 0FG Catback Exhaust Suite for the 4th Gen RAM, available now.

To my ears, better sound quality…..but it’s only from hearing both in videos. The Corsa never appealed to my ears but this AWE system sounds great.

    Wagner OEX Brake Pads

    Thank you sir.

    Wagner OEX Brake Pads

Gotcha. On my next oil change I'll have them change out the brake fluid. I'm all things Redline so I'll check to see if they have a brake fluid available.

    Wagner OEX Brake Pads

Do you think my fluid needs changing at 47K miles?

    Wagner OEX Brake Pads

Just replaced my stock brake pads with Wagner OEX pads since they get good reviews here. My stock pads weren't really at the point of needing to be changed, but the fronts were squealing something awful and I was getting tired of hearing them. So far I can tell the Wagners have improved...

    Exhaust recommends (No drone)

I can recommend Solo Performance Mach 44 cat back kit. Not too loud and no drone.

    5w20 vs 5w30

I've been using Redline 5w30 for almost two years now. I live in GA so I don't worry too much about the added weight. No problems...truck runs smooth and quiet. I keep thinking of trying something else just to see, but I never seem to pull the trigger. If I did try something else I would...

    Muffler recommendations

Maybe look into Spintech or Flowmaster for a different tone. I’m surprised your getting a popping sound with the Borla. I had one for a while and don’t recall any popping.

Adding an inline resonator to help drone with FM Super 44

I tried putting a resonator before my muffler once trying to reduce drone. I didn't notice any difference......still had drone. Ended up taking that setup off and installing a muffler that didn't drone. I did have a FM Super 40 for a short time that didn't drone, but never tried the 44.

    Exhaust rusted off

It's a sign......truck wants more rumble. :) I've had many mufflers since owning my truck trying to find the one that works for me. It really depends on what you're after.....stock volume, medium loud, or loud. Direct fit, welded on, or full system.....straight thru or chambered. Lots of...

    Upgrading muffler from stock...

Might want to also look at Spintech if you like chambered mufflers. They are very good quality and sound great.

    Upgrading muffler from stock...

Depends on where you live and if you get a stainless muffler or not. Most Flowmasters are not stainless, but they do make them in some series. Some folks have them rust out in a couple of years while others like Nova John have good luck.

    Upgrading muffler from stock...

You should look into the Borla Pro XS or the Flowmaster 50HD or Super 40 series. I've had about all muffler options out there and it will be hard to find anything better than the Borla. Nothing wrong with Flowmaster.....I did enjoy my 50HD for a time. Borla will most likely last longer. Not...

    Exhaust: Whats the difference?

Check out Solo Performance Mach 44 system. I have that on my truck and love it. Not crazy loud and no real drone....sounds great. I’ve had lots of muffler only weld on mufflers but the complete system was worth it to me. Getting rid of those resonators makes it sound better. The larger pipes and...
