Bed Utility Group rails and Tonneau installation

It's been a while since I installed the cover. I don't remember having to do anything before installing it. I'm not sure what brackets you are referring to.

Bed Utility Group rails and Tonneau installation

I have the black ones. The utility rails are installed probably 4 - 6 inches below where the tonneau cover sits, so I have no idea why BakFlip would think there would be any interference (which is why I was confused and posted the original question). It is an absolute non issue (as I suspected...

Bed Utility Group rails and Tonneau installation

Well, I installed the MX4 today and the BUG rails were not an issue at all. No idea why BakFlip thinks it won't work.

Bed Utility Group rails and Tonneau installation

For those of you who have the Bed Utility Group and installed a tonneau cover, did you have to remove the rails first? I just ordered a Bakflip MX4, and they told me that the BUG rails would have to be removed before installing the tonneau cover. When I watch the installation videos, it seems...

Good - we are finally getting some options. Thanks for posting.

2 inch leveling kit and 285/65r20, too much?

What do you mean by "too much?" Are you asking if it will work without rubbing? Or if it will look good? Or if you will have trouble getting in and out? More specifics will likely get you your answer.

    6" lift w/ 35's (pics)

It's actually a Procomp. I was driving by this morning and decided to jump out and take a couple pics of underneath.

    4" CST lift

That looks bigger than a 4" lift to me. Not sure what size tires those are, but that wheel well has quite a bit of space! Looks like a 6" lift. Maybe it's just the pic?

2019 Ram Rebel w/2" Ready lift kit

Looking good - and I love seeing it out in the wild getting dirty!

    6" lift w/ 35's (pics)

I was driving by a local dealer today, and had to pull over. They have this 2019 with a 6" lift and 35's on the lot (adding $12K+ to the price with their add-on extras - typical dealer overreach). When I looked underneath, it appears that most of the lift is achieved from what might be a 4"...

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

Installed my Hellwig rear sway bar. Haven’t driven the truck much since, so I can’t really say how much it changed anything, but it is done. I’ll be out of town (Nashville) for almost a week, so I won’t be driving much until next weekend. Will update then.

Rough Country 3.5" and Power Steps install

I'm not sure exactly how they were installed - they are the factory steps, so I would imagine it's just however FCA has them set up to install. BTW, the step setting is now showing up on my UConnect. Maybe it needed to cycle through a few times for them to show, but they are there now. It...

    2019 Leveling Kits

Thanks, but it doesn't look like that anymore haha. For now, I still have the same tires/wheels, but have it lifted 3.5." This is what it looks like now:

    2019 Leveling Kits

I was originally going with 18's but I don't really like my stock wheels, and it was difficult to find aftermarket 18s that fit over our brake calipers, so went with 20s where there are an endless supply of options. I didn't really take closeups of the fitment, and I only had the leveling kit...

    2019 Leveling Kits

I had 295/60r20s on my truck with just a 2” level. Use the tire comparison site to see how this two compare, but I had no issues.

If you could go back to your time of purchase.

well, that info is making me slightly less envious that I don't have the 3.92s. (though I would probably still choose them if I were to do it over again)

If you could go back to your time of purchase.

What tranny did the 2014 have? I would have thought the 8spd in the 2019 would keep the freeway rpms pretty low even with the 3.92.

    OEM Power Steps

Honestly, I’m hoping your guy was right and mine wrong. But that’s why I’m saying I’m not sure if it is true.
  21. Kevin C

    OEM Power Steps

Not sure if that is true or not. My dealer flashed my computer after getting mine installed, and I don't have any controls on my screen.

Rough Country 3.5" and Power Steps install

No, steps only. MSRP on them is $1500, and my dealer was going to charge an additional $400 to install. The first appointment they had available was more than a month out, so I had my local 4x4 shop install them instead (and they charged me $325). Also, when I went to pick them up, I asked if...

Rough Country 3.5" and Power Steps install

No. The dealer did a "flash" to my computer after install, but it didn't give me any settings. Not sure why.

What did you do with your 5th Gen this week?

I have the ReadyLift 3.5" but I'm guessing if everything is working with the stock sway bar, it must be ok with the new Hellwig, right? I'm going to try to put it in within the next couple days.

    Hellwig rear sway bar 7709
