Lol not surprised you got the run around with the dealerships. I took my truck in twice when I first bought it, as I had the squeak. I replaced my rear brake pads with the Wagner OEX Pads. Finally got rid of the brake squeal I have had. pads still had good amount of meat on them, but figured already had the wheels off might as well replace them. They Squealed on and off since I bought it new in 2017. It was more noticeable...- xFred12

New Battery
The battery in my '17 lasted me two years. Drove to Orielly's to get it tested after truck struggled to turn on. Sure enough, bad battery. Once the nice carpet cover was off, my battery said " 2013 " on it. Guess I got a four year old battery in my truck from factory.- xFred12

The fords with the 5.4L engine have issues with the timing chain guides going bad, some fairly early. All depends on maintenance. this goes across several gens of f150, same engine. Ford never addressed it either. As others have said all brands have possible defects, and all failures will have...- xFred12

ford tech makuloco is the man. His videos have helped me fix my 2 ford Exploder's a few times. Provides actual help and isn't obnoxious like Scotty. Looking for some opinions/advise
I’m with you. I have a 96 explorer with the 5.0 V8 in it. Have had her since 2007. Odometer didn’t work when I got it and it read 118k. Don’t make them like they used to that’s for sure. Anyways, I think someone else said keep it till the Warranty runs out. I’m with that. $250 a month beats...- xFred12
