    Think I have it figured out, correct me if I'm wrong. Stock is 265/70R17 with +43 offset. Adding 285/70R17 and a -12 will push the tire out 2.6 inches. That would make the tire bulge flush with my flares. So the offset and extra tire width is 2.6 inches or 55mm. I hope this offset won't affect...

    Check the front sway bar links, they eat them like candy. I'm on my 2nd set in 6 months.

    Another thing to note is in some cases the 2.8 "can" cause 4x4 drive line vibrations, I had some but after the alignment it went away for some reason.

    You should be fine, use a rubber hose to slide in the hole then run your line through and no worries about line chaff.

    Bills set to 2.8, 1" puck in rear with 35x12.5R17 and rooms to spare with a -6 offset but a -12 would work to. Hard to find a 9 wide in higher offset or I'd do a -18 or -20 ish

    My 2011 a few months back did this at 70k, passenger side back bolt broke. Was pretty easy to pull the manifolds, check for flatness and reinstall with new studs and gaskets. It took 2 hours total.

    Body shops order their own panels in unless you've talked to one and have an agreement to bring a panel in but they probably get better shipping prices than we can.

    A patch takes more work and filler and costs about the same as a new skin. I cut my small rust spot out and primed and painted then added flares. The flares were on my list anyway to slow the road slop from flinging down the sides with my new tires.

    Out of curiosity I went and stuck a level on the top of my tires and was very disappointed. Front was 33 3/4" and rear was 33 7/8". Width from outer lugs are 11". So in my case a kanati trail hog 37 would have fit. Brakes and gearing would be another story tho.
