That is true. For the 5th Gen trucks at least they call it an orp (package) so we can keep it somewhat straight. But Ram needs to stop making so many models it drives me nuts. Trying to lay packages out over the phone is always a party to make them sit perfect
This is when you reach out to @Nick@GotExhaust click on the name select start a conversation and explain what you’ll be towing and how much it weighs. Then he can get you a set of springs that will give you the best ride/capability
No air suspension is very sensitive and the install was not done properly. Unfortunately
I want to say you need adjustable links that way you can extend them for your ride height sensors to compensate but if you don’t go to a place that understands what our trucks need you’re entering a...
This is the easiest way to compare. The added bonus to the larger 6112’s is the coil spring they come with is a huge upgrade over reusing the stock coil spring
So reading about leveling kits on forums are overwhelming going to be referencing the 1/2 ton 1500 series trucks. It would be in your best interest to reach out to @Nick@GotExhaust he is one of our preferred vendors and can ship you the right parts you need for your truck. You’ll want a front...
Tank of fuel is cheaper than moving a shop. Instead of buying a Vette and a TRX I decided to get an alignment rack, road force balancer and no touch tire machine. My sacrifices are for your gains
To clarify we only install parts that were supplied from @Nick@GotExhaust because we know they are right and we stay in direct contact. We do not install parts supplied by the customer because no one wants to pay to have them removed when it’s bad out of the box or fails prematurely
Stick with a main brand tires are very opinionated it’s very close to asking what the best color is for a truck.
Best to describe what you’re area is like, do you get snow, rain a lot, are there a lot of low income oil leaking cars on the roads you commute etc. but sticking with the main...
I had my truck over 9" in the front and you are basically right there. The 1500's just dont like that height and the ride will always be bad. Ride is your own opinion so you will get varied answers. So you have 2 options. Stay at the height your at and move to Billstein 6112's in the front. They...
We just had a Jeep in after going to Mt Zion along with 17-20 other shops.
They let this leave without fixing it or the truck. But they did an oil change which surely helped with the terrible drivability because the geometry was off. Not bashing anyone just showing you guys what I see
Congratulations!!!
For educational purposes if there are any abs lights please update me. I’m trying to pin point issues some forum members are experiencing
A 5th Gen can clear a 35” on a 2” lift factory wheel under 11.5” wide aftermarket wheel is a 9” wide wheel with a +12 offset max that will clear a 35x12.5” tire. I’ve done triple digit installs on these trucks. With a lot of experimenting with mix and matching
5th gens can go to 3” safely. Still requires an angle correcting upper control arm above 2.5”.
The 5th Gen trucks DO NOT react well to the 3.5” height. Skip it and go to 4” if more than 3” is needed. Highly recommend staying far away from anything suspension related with the name Rough Country...
100% it will rub. A 20x9 +12 is the wheel you’ll need for only minor rubbing the plastic guard.
However going to the dealer and trusting a company that doesn’t specialize in wheels you’re 2 for 2 on what not to do
I own an AV company that does home automation and fun stuff we don’t need and have a client in Kentucky. We’ve done 8 houses for him and his last house was on an island off the coast of South Carolina. With people moving everyday it’s not that crazy to ship a truck. :happy160:
Post more pics. How do rc shocks end up on a truck with a BDS kit?
Let’s see the cross members in the front.
Since the angles on your UCA’s look good now and you’re being budget conscious with your decision I would run the mevotec UCA’s they are tried and true. They will be your best bet and...
@Nick@GotExhaust can set you up with the 2wd kits there is only 1 company doing them right. Reach out to Nick the internet is way too confusing for those trucks. The 5th gens they fixed the confusion
I ve said it multiple times on this forum. The 5th Gen trucks do not like the 3.5” height. Unfortunately it’s an uphill battle. The only try “fix” is go to a 3” or 4” kit. Since a big box store did the installation I would loosen every bolt and re torque in the meantime
There is A LOT of reading on this forum and you did good asking first before you're just another thread on here wondering why the ride is not great.
Adding a spacer on top effects the travel of your suspension and the geometry is off so its going to destroy the rubber bushing and then start...
I had a similar issue to yours come in yesterday. Implausible data on ABS sensor code in computer.
He was intermittent like your issue. I programmed the tire size and did an adaptation transmission relearn. Drove it for 57 miles and seemed to fix it. The truck was a 23 with 35’s. Tire size and...
