I think it was these spark plugs.
All the injectors were cleaned.
Truck seems to be running well when stationary.
So I’m going to leave the engine alone for now and just focus on the transmission.

I went to the shop that I’ve been going to for many years.
They weren’t eager to assume the cams were faulty.
They also weren’t thrilled with the spark plugs I had chosen to swap in just before my trip. Apparently they’ve had issues with them.
So what they wanted me to do is swap out...
Great then the job seems pretty straight forward.
Drain and Remove rad.
Move transmission rad, alternator and power steering out of the way.
Remove plugs, fuel injectors and coils out of the way
Remove heads
Rebuild heads
Remove cam cover
Remove water pump
Remove oil pump
Remove camshaft...
Well, as expected, I spent the night watching YouTube videos on how to do the job.
Looks pretty straightforward except seems some variability on the need to remove the oil pan.

Well the story gets better.
1/2 way through the drive the code and warning light went off.
Eco mode is working again.
And yes that was shortly after I refueld.
So at this point not sure if I should change the plugs.
With the light off I won’t know if I fixed anything.
I cleared the codes, but unfortunately it’s still there.
I bought two new spark plugs.
Does the engine have to be cool to change the spark plugs or can I change it while it’s hot?
Changing the coil didn’t eliminate the warning light.
I still have two hours until my next destination.
Truck working perfectly fine.
Once it cools down tonight, I’ll change the spark plugs.
I’m planning to cut my trip short, but I still have 12 hours of driving to get home.
Just checked the coolant in the overflow tank. Same level as when I started the trip.

Coolant was changed two weeks ago and it looks good no overheating.
All coil packs changed with spark plugs.
The plug boot is the one in the coil pack?
If it was a head gasket would the adjoining spark plug also be misfiring?
I had seen the code a few weeks ago but it disappeared.
Then I changed the plugs and coils.

Well I have changed the front and rear diff fluid and the transmission and transaxle fluid.
And today what a PITA but it took me three hours and I changed all 16 spark plugs.
The far two on the driver side where the most difficult. Probably took me the majority of the time. I had to get on...

I just thought that once the coolant went to radiator, with the wind blowing through the radiator, and the radiator fan on the coolant temperature would dropped almost to the ambient outside temperature.
