Hey guys, I have a 2010 Ram 1500 sport. Its got a 5.7 and is automatic with a NP246 D transfer case. Lately I have been noticing a snapping noise when I push up and down on the back of the truck. After looking into it further it seems like the noise is coming from my transfer case. When I...
Mine has done this exact same thing for the last 5 years. I have no idea what it is. Im certain the key is nowhere near me, and every once in a while it will honk, flash lights and lock the doors, It could happen 5 minutes after I last drove it or 5 days. If you find a fix please post...
The bump on the hood is likely trapping in moisture. The hood is aluminum so it wont rust out but the bubble will get bigger and bigger. Def want to have that fixed asap.
The TPMS sensor is built into the valve stem itself and it attached to only the rim. You should have no issue changing the tires on your original rims.
These trucks are known for the blend doors failing. The actuator over extends the arm and over time breaks off. This would cause the symptoms you describe.
Sorry about the slow reply, got busy here with work. I found my old invoice for the Putco bulbs. I'm not sure which one you will need for your truck but here are the part numbers.
I don't think I have the part number. It's been almost 5 years since I put them in my truck and I probably long since threw out all the packaging. I will take a look for you and advise tho. Also my truck is a 2010. Im not sure if the bulb would be the same for your 2016.
I run Putco Ion Spark bulbs in my factory fogs. They are much brighter than the originals. I bought them from a local 4x4 shop here in Alberta but they are readily available online.
That's how I hooked up mine 4 years ago. I haven't had a single issue. The durability and quality of the system depends on the installer, Take your time, use good materials, solder and seal everything, you should be good to go.
I could have been swapped out, or just a mistake on the paperwork. I believe the tri-fold is a better cover that is typically worth more. I would go back to the dealer and ask them about it.
