HVAC problem with UAS upgrade in '18 truck
if it's the bezel to accommodate the 8.4" radio using the existing hvac controls from a lower trim model, like those equipped with a 5.0" RA2 radio, it should be OK. I think Infotainment sells that particular bezel. also, the 8.4 radio itself does not have a volume control knob. you'd either... -

8.4 UAS Apple CarPlay incoming texts
at times it is, but not always. sometimes I have it on silent at work, and take it off after or on weekends, for example. It never mattered before switching to the UAS though. this is only affecting it when plugged in, and on carplay. so far that's what I've noticed.- Wolfpup

I used to receive incoming texts to the radio and would hear when they came in. With sw update 22.6, the radio displays a banner at the bottom when receiving an incoming text, but I don't hear anything unless i notice it and press the banner... but I don't watch the radio while I'm driving, you...- Wolfpup

I think so. It’s a weird situation for sure. Your truck was new when you bought it, or did you buy it used? Maybe the dealer can flash the bcm and start from there. The radio was bought with an issue, but it just might be a software issue that would be resolved if it would take an update...- Wolfpup

It does it for every notification for me on 22.5. If it does it only the one time with 22.6, and I turn it down and it stays down, I’ll be good with that.- Wolfpup

Will this work for a 2019 UAS 63131635AJ from a 2019 RAM 1500 Classic? the radio manufacture date is March 2019, and has 22.5 on it already. sound is kind of muddy (but I got it equalized ok for now) and the text messaging that comes through is annoyingly loud all the time.- Wolfpup

maybe the compass module is not communicating properly with the UAS so it doesn't display when that radio is installed? maybe a newer one would work? just brainstorming.- Wolfpup
