    I just noticed, and not sure if this is related, but the speedometer doesn’t move until you hit 10mph then the needle jumps up and works fine.

    got it running... turned out to me a loose terminal on the starter... the one under the little plastic cap. thanks for all the input!

    Yeah, the truck is new to me, and im getting a miss fire when I accelerate... trying to poke around at what could be the issue

    hahaha I've replaced everything but the starter... I currently dont have an current meter... couple get a clamp over one from work... but if the current is off is it a new starter anyway?

    I put a fresh battery in it but didn't open the solenoid up... if the contact are worn is it just best to get a new starter?

    I have an 1989 W100 with a 318.... it idles fine runs fine when just taking it easy but when I accelerate fast or have to take off on a hill or anything that puts any load on the engine it sputters like it is miss firing. Suggestions? Asked a mechanic friend and he asked if it had a Mass Air...
