    2019 Rebel Missing Sealant [Pics]

Yes, the driver side carpet was saturated from rain / wet roads. It was replaced because of mildew but the leak persisted. I took a napkin and pressed it into the carpet and it destroyed the napkin from the amount of water.

    2019 Rebel Missing Sealant [Pics]

Hey guys, can't go into details, but I'm going to be getting out of the truck soon. Somewhere along the assembly line a robot ran out of sealant for an entire section of the truck. You can see where new sealant was manually applied on the side and underneath the truck. One thing I am worried...

    Experienced 5.7 owners: Need Reassurance

Hold up man, I purposely avoided the eco-diesel after a little research and knowing an owner who had a blown engine. You type in "blown engine" after any one of the engines you just mentioned and that eco-diesel has more occurrences than anything I've ever seen or heard from dodge/ram. Take a...

    Experienced 5.7 owners: Need Reassurance

Point taken with your experience with the 360, but I'd take that old 360 magnum over that eco-diesel you got. If there is any engine I'd steer clear from it's that eco-diesel.

    Dealer damaged truck

Was the repair an "authorized repair"? From what I understand, improper repairs are not covered if they are unauthorized. For example, if you take a truck in to repair the window and they improperly reinstall something else - that's an authorized repair that resulted in damage.

Water Leak Drivers side (Water pooling under Drivers Mat)

Yep had that loose ground issue as well. Luckily Johnny P is sharing this info. The problem for me is there isn't a truck that I would be happy switching to now. I'm not even interested in the raptor. I looked at a 19 Tundra TRD Pro and it was depressing for me - I don't care how reliable it...

Read about my first experience w/ 19 Rebel in deep snow...

The KM3 is the mud tire / looks more aggressive. I've read reviews on how the tire does as far as road noise and traction and I thought I'd give them a try.

Water Leak Drivers side (Water pooling under Drivers Mat)

For all the skeptics on here, this is a real issue with these trucks. My truck is on it's third trip back to the dealer over this issue and I'm in the buyback process. This is not the sunroof/drain issue. My service manager told me that even the 2019 tradesman loaner my dealer gave me had this...

Read about my first experience w/ 19 Rebel in deep snow...

I'm rotating my GYs every 5,000 to get everything out of them since I effectively paid $1,000+ for them. Looking to switch over to the BFGoodrich KM3s.

Just picked up a new 5th gen today

Sorry here's the other half. If you find your carpet it wet, you should take it back to the place you bought it so they can check it out and see why it is leaking. Hope that helps.

    Rebel factory oil

That's a great point. Someone doing 10,000 mile OCIs is likely not planning to stay in it past the warranty period. You mean you wouldn't buy a used hemi with 80,000 miles and only 8 oil changes on it? haha

    Rebel factory oil

You don't sound like the type of guy forking out money for Redline or Amsoil that could potentially be changed at higher OCIs - so I'll assume you mean oil in general. My OCI is 5,000 miles. Let's say you do 10,000 mile OCIs. At 100,000 miles I did 20 changes and you did 10. I spend about $56...

    Rebel factory oil

THANK YOU! This is what I heard about. There is a thread on this forum where somebody emailed Lucas oil about using fuel additives and MDS... https://www.ramforum.com/threads/no-oil-additives-with-mds-system-engine-cylinder-deactivation-system.88554/

I read on this forum several times that engines with MDS should not be exposed to fuel additives. Is this true?

7 Quarts. But cheaper to buy two 5 qt jugs of oil at once if buying PUP.

Thinking of getting a new 2019 1500, which trim?

Skip the 12in screen (freeze issue) and the panoramic sunroof (leak issue). I hear the air suspension is great ride-wise and leveling while towing, but I wanted to be able to upgrade to King / Fox coil-overs later and air suspension isn't so great in cold weather.

    Rebel factory oil

I run PUP 5W20/RP filter and it's worth the money. I'd love to go to Redline oil but I'm scared the lack of API-cert sticker on the bottle would breach my extended warranty. Sucks because I hear and read that Redline is the best you can buy - even better than API-sticker brands. My father was a...

    Rebel factory oil

To be fair, PUP/Euro is exclusively recommended by Ferrari North America. Even with the usual argument that Ferrari recommends the highest bidder, if PUP is good enough for a Ferrari 488 GTB with a twin turbo V8 - it's good enough for my 5.7 hemi. Plus, Pennzoil is a sub of Shell...which has...

Check your driver-side carpet for moisture ASAP following a car wash or rain weather. Reach under the carpet / insulation. A LOT of these trucks have this issue.

Groaning in drive train on cold mornings

I noticed groaning during cold weather as well. However, now I remote start each morning and let it idle until auto shuts down. No more groaning. These trucks make all kinds of noise if not warmed up. One thing I can’t figure out is a loud pop during first ignition after a long period. Sounds...

Gen V - Water Leak [FIXED]

From how it was explained to me it was some sort of plastic gutter that was directing water from the windshield to the side of the truck. It was down in the deep corner near the hood hinges. The dealer removed the passenger side one as well as a preventative measure. I think the main issue was...

Gen V - Water Leak [FIXED]

Damn I hope you get good news soon. Speaking of waiting on parts, the dealer told me that the first windshield company that came out said they needed to remove the windshield to find the leak and seal it again. Thank God my service manager was sharp - he told me that right now Gen 5 windshields...

Gen V - Water Leak [FIXED]

Wanted to thank those of you who shared your experiences with the front cab water leak / soaking carpets. Special thanks to @Johnny P. I was able to share some of the info from this forum to my dealer and it ended up being fixed in less than 36 hours. Here are the findings: "Interior concern...

    Rebel factory oil

My dealer told me it is a "synthetic blend" from the factory. It's not full synthetic. I switched to full synthetic at around 2,000 miles with Pennzoil Platinum. Ended up upgrading to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum at around 6,000 miles (night and day difference with lifter noise / temps in my...
