I have this awesome 2017 RAM 1500 Big Horn
I'm asking the question here because my truck is lifted. Also I have the tow package. So with the bigger tires and lift it seemed like the right place.
The other day driving from NJ to MD I almost had a bad accident on 95 in MD. Someone knucklehead...
I see this is an old thread but figured I'd bring it up again to see how long everyones brakes are holding up?
I am still on the OEM with 35k miles on my truck.
I noticed that my AC is active when the button is NOT engaged as well as engaged.
I've tried all combinations of vents, circulation, defroster and such and it's always on.
It's 100 degrees outside mt AC button is not activated I have the temperature set at 65 and it's cold air when it...
If you like them about equally then go with the Gray just for the anti-slip option.
I missed that option on my truck and regret not having it.
I will probably be swapping out the whole rear to get that put in rather than paying for installation of the anti-slip option.
I'm not sure about your year but, I have a 2017 1500 4x4 with 6'4" bed.
I can fit my BFG K02 35" full size spare under the bed.
Have you tried to put yours there?
Mine just fit with about a Popsicle stick thickness of space to spare.
Way over priced.
Here is some food for thought.
I have a2017 big horn.
I purchased it new in 2017.
1 year later with 8500 miles later the dealer offered me 28k.
I kept my truck.
I now have 23k miles.
No intention of selling.
Point is go for the big horn with a loan check in hand.
25k

I've got a 2017 with 3.21.
I cannot see going to 37s.
Truck rides great, can break em loose with the hemi but highway driving 55-63 constant shifting for 8th gear. If I had 3.92 if considered it.
Last year wife and I drove 2000 miles from MD to Tennessee and back averaged 20mpg.
Here's a link...
I'd strongly suggest getting a truck. SUV are cute but once you have a truck you'll never go back.
Like others have said, depends on where you live (Heated Steering Wheel, Heated Seats)
Limited Slip - Get it from the factory installed otherwise if you do it at the dealer it only has a 1-3 year...
I've got a 2017 Big Horn Crew Cab with 6'4". I kept the rack because it only makes sense to have the extra travel for when I haul.
Truck has 3.21 which sometimes I am irked over but not really.
I put the lift on at 1,400 miles. I've now got just about 19k and still love this truck.
No...
Here is my .02.
If you definitely will be towing anything in excess of 5000lbs, or putting larger tires on you want the 3.92 INSTALLED on the truck from the factory.
If your truck comes with 3.21 DON'T take the truck.
Yes you can have them change the gears but doing so you only F yourself.
You...
If you want the LSD in your truck, ORDER your truck with it because it will be covered for the entire duration of the truck warranty. I found this out the following year at the dealership when I wanted to get it installed.
If you buy the LSD after purchasing the truck then the only warranty you...
