Ticking/Chattering Noise in Engine
It is the idler pulley. Take off the serpentine belt. The noise will stop. Change out the idler pulley. The dealer wanted to change out the passengers side head. Told me not to drive my Ram 1500.- Rambo16

How long does a 3.6 exhast usually last?
I have had 4 ram 1500's with the 3.6 engine. I thought that I had a bad lifter noise, I took it to the dealer and serveral other shops. They all said drive it easy and you need new lifters and maybe cam bearings. Even my mechanic friends said the same thing. lifter cam bearing or somethin in...- Rambo16

This sound normal?
It is the same noise that my truck made. Everyone including the dealership said it is the rocker bearings. It was the Idler Pulley. I fixed it myself.- Rambo16
