    Why didn't you use Castrol Syntec 5-30 oil? I'm at 500+ ml with Red Line 5-30,still have bad tick at cold,a bit less when warm. I'm thinking to try Castrol Edge full synthetic 5-20.

    Thank for replay 2012Lamarie! I didn't replace my Exhaust bolts yet,but the Exhaust Heat Shield is very loose,and there is oil just exactly like on your third picture.

    Got the answer from Moe's performance: "Yes, the S&B intake will work with the catch can on your 2009 Ram. Its only the 2019+ Ram trucks that have fitment issues with the S&B Intake."

    This means that there is no need for a more thicker pleats/more surface area filter for 5.7L,because 5.7L is not a turbo charged diesel and not a 6.4L bigger displacement motor.

    Why 5.7L need thicker air filter. As I understand the EcoDiesel/ 6.4 needs it because it's a bigger displacement motor. ?
