very nice i haven't insulated the line yet will take alook at it tonight altho my ac is a fridge freezer rite now waaaaaay colder than stock which was very cold to begin with. i also blocked of the heater hose going into the cabin for an even colder ac.. installed a shut off valve on that hose...
sure will comeback update this thread with the new oil temps and pics after install ..hmmmm i dont think it makes a difference if its before or after the filter
yah but im adding a cooler inline thats more surface area more cooling than just 2 filters, maybe two oil filters and a oil cooler is to much on oil pressure .. i already have an old 4 row setrab oil cooler that i installed and removed from a car i used to have its a very good cooler so gona use...
the pusher fans are just there to make my AC colder.. they are not a restriction cos my coolant and trans temps are at the perfect 180 ~ 205 year round ... i removed the clutch fan about two years ago and only have the stock electric fan dont feel i need the V6 fan the stock fan dose a good job...
lol there is no way in hell that i would even consider going 3:21 from 3:92.if i had a choice id go 4:10s :) i have a 180 thermostat year round its not enough i think my best bet is to just relocate the oil filter add a oil cooler im doing a single oil filter kit and oil cooler think its more...
i removed the pos grill shutters one week after ownership installed two pusher fans in its place.. look at this 20 minutes on the freeway i look down this is my temps ...
i have the same factory oil cooler above the filter it dose nothing when im doing 90 on the freeway, coolant temp at 190 engine oil shoots up to 240~245..i have to slow down to let it cool off..looks like oil relocation kit is the easiest to do..
i have a copy of my stock factory tune from the stock locked pcm before i swapped it.. my plan was if im going to need warranty work ill just upload the factory tune to this unlocked pcm and take it in havent done it might work.. done it before on GM cars never had a problem. :) lol
nice swap i love that u installed a 6.4 instead of just buying a new truck.. im doing the same swap soon did u re use ur stock intake manifold and stock 5.7 injectors?
thanks
i have both efi live and hptuners i loved efi live more than hptuners back when it was V7 before they upgraded the software to V8 loved the simplicity now its different.. i use hptuners now. nothing else on the market compares to hptuners these days.
My 18 limited is doing the exact same thing head unit freaking out with the light show touch screen dont work no HVAC nothing.. so what was the problem ? was it the head unit its self?
Hpt sends u an interface cable that connects your laptop to the obd port in your car then u download the software from there website.. you can go now download there trial version take a look at it before u buy
Heres a pic from my truck i have no clutch fan no heavy duty V6 fan nothing just the factory stock electric fan one small pusher fan no thermostat no rad louvres been over a year no problems at all.. not recommended for people in colder climates
Just my honest opinion, cut off that plastic extension air gets trapped under it stops air from traveling up to the intake i think you get more ram air without it. I did this last year works great
This is weird iv always had magnaflows 300 srt ,ctsv ,srt jeep, silverado and now my ram never had any drone not even a lil bit..pretty sure mopar catbacks use magnaflows
i love that sound its in the factory tune its a engine torque management thing it cuts off fuel when shifting creating that sound also when decelerating creating that popping sound..
