Thanks for the tips @Silvacane. This whole thread is really just me being paranoid and reinforcing what I already thought from my research. I’m going to hope they have spares available. Definitely will bring my tools and jacks though just as C-Y-A

It’ll be like the time I rented/trailered a wood chipper from Home Depot. That thing was annoying to back up and to trailer it was weighted weird and had no breaks. Probally only weighed like 2000 though.

I didn’t take that into consideration, I guess if that ends up happening the truck has enough power to deal with it eventually.

I have enough different sizes that I’m sure I’ll own the right ones, now whether they are in the box with the rest that’s a different story. It’ll probably be the only one missing as usual lol

Thanks for the tip, I did think I read somewhere whether your hauling commercial or personal that if your over 10001 gcvw you legally are required to stop in quite a few states not that this is the case in my situation.

Great tip on the thermometer I’ll pack mine up along with some basic tools (and my case with my Cordless Impact and assorted sockets). I’ll probably throw my bottle jacks to and my jack block I made from a few 4x4s since I can’t get an appreciable amount of lift from the truck with the 5100s at...
@mtofell
What is this light you speak of? I’m thinking it’s something simple and something I should know but it’s alluding me.

Is the width enough to need tow mirrors? I think it’s probally comparable to the width of my truck so I’m not sure. I saw some snap on ones that were recommended on a thread around here that were only like 40 bucks which isn’t to big of a deal considering I’ll only be towing very infrequently...
@RoadRamblerNJ hahaha thanks that 3/4 surly doesn’t make that much of
A difference. But seriously thanks for the feed back. Also not sure if you know but when it comes to weigh stations that doesn’t matter as it would be below 10k right? That was the only other thing I forgot about.

2013 Accord
2012 Tacoma TRD Sport
2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Now my ‘13 1500 Sport
All in that order. The Subaru and Accord were both brand new, the rest used.
Grandma loves her stuff, right now it’s just furniture and some normal household stuff however knowing the “shed” she has stuff in and other items it could be god knows that. I figured on 4500 with the trailer being 2k and then factoring worst case senario to cover the bases. I don’t want to be...
Evening guys and gals,
At the end of this month I’m making a run down to Florida (no towing enroute) to pack up some of my grandmothers belongings and furniture in a U-Haul 6x12 rental trailer. I’m figuring the weight to be around 4-5k. Anything special I should take into consideration? I’m...
