    pedal commander

I've decided I'm going to get one, just not sure when. Ive spent a bit of money already on other mods (which get installed next week), so I might let the bank account rest for a bit. I've already worked with Nick, but have not worked with Matt. I've read many good things about both here on...

Why did you buy your truck?

I'm a home owner and family man. There's other reasons to own a truck? Lol. In all seriousness, while I do believe every family should own a truck, I've wanted a truck since I was a kid. After I got married, the Honda CR-V that I was driving was due to go to the shop for a $500 repair for...

I am also on the fence about getting a PC. I like the idea behind it, but have a couple questions. Does the Bluetooth function have to be used? Or can it be adjusted on the unit itself? (I'm one of those people who hate adding apps to their phone.) Does a device with the Bluetooth app have...

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

Thanks for the recommendation, but I think these are a bit overkill for what I am looking for. I want to keep the stock size tire, so i just need to decide between the Michelin Defender, M/T Deegan 38 AT, and I've now added the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S to the mix.

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

Ok. Thanks. I probably should have elaborated more. My off road, is dirt roads in the country, trips to the dump, and driving in grass fields (dry or wet). My biggest concern is the grass fields. Not sure if they'll be any better than the oem Goodyear's.

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

@Grasskicker Do you ever take the Michelins off of pavement? If so, how do they do? How long have you had them? I put defenders on my wife's explorer back in January, and she has about 6k on them, and one of the rears is cupping. Now we get to have an alignment done on it. This is...

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

After not being able to find a 18" wheel that I liked, that was also light, I ended up going with another set of 20" wheels. I've narrowed my choices of tires down to the Michelin Defender LTX M/S and the Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 all-terrains. 95% of my driving is on asphalt, but I do still...

    Raised Ride Height

My stock 2016 sport is at 36.5" on the front, and 39.25" at the rear.

    Brake Control

My 2016 truck also did not come with the controller. I bought a Curt brand controller from my local reputable trailer dealer. As I type this, my truck is at my local Ram dealer, having a factory controller installed. Needless to say, the $200 I spent on the Curt model, is money down the...

Why on Earth do people want to disable MDS? (Hemi newb here)

I'm like you. Enjoy hitting the loud pedal harder than normal sometimes, but like to compete against myself for the best mpg possible normally. My truck is my daily driver, so poor fuel economy all the time is not an option for me.

    Long time Ford guy

While I have never owned a Ford, I was raised on Ford Super Duties, by my neighbors from way back before I could even start to think about driving. My parents are A to B people. If it gets them from point A to point B, they are happy. Back in 2014, after four months of $500 repair bills and a...

    New AT tires

I wouldn't be surprised if it does. But I'm thinking its the weight or grip of the tire. Because even coasting down steep hills, it doesn't seem to roll freely. Definitely seems like there is a lot of rolling resistance.

Better flowing intake for 5.7 w/Ecodiesel lower airbox

Razor knife, I have. When I read "grind", in the earlier post, I was thinking I would need a grinder, which I do not have. I've never worked on my own vehicle before, as it has always been my daily driver, and I can't the time without it, if I screw something up. This upgrade seems fairly...

    New AT tires

The dreaded 3.21. But when you have to buy used, your options are limited. I miss the 3.55 from my old ram. But when you get hit..... You gotta do what you gotta do.

Better flowing intake for 5.7 w/Ecodiesel lower airbox

For everyone that has done this upgrade... Did anyone else have to grind down the inlet? I don't have to the necessary tools to do that if required.

    New AT tires

To the best of my knowledge, no, they do not. According to their website, the 275/60r20 have a load rating of "SL", and are 4 ply.

    New AT tires

I put Falken Wildpeak AT/3W's on my truck in January, in the oem 275/60r20 size. I think they run incredibly smooth. Have had them up to 85mph on the highway. They are a bit noisier than the Firestone's I had on my old truck, but nothing excessive. They did great in the snow this past...

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

Thanks AJAY. I had previously looked at the Cooper tires, but double checked them, and they are about 5lbs more than the nitto. 57 lbs per their website. Definitely a nice looking tire though. I got on to raceline's site last night, and found the 931B Injector wheel. If memory serves...

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

Thank you. I knew it wasn't much difference, but never having done any mods to a vehicle before, I figured it was best to ask others, and be safe rather than sorry.

    New Wheel - Tire recommendations

I finally found wheels that I like appearance wise. Ultra Xtreme X107. Haven't completely decided on the black or graphite finish yet though. I want to go with the 18" wheel size, instead of my OEM 20". I have a 2016 Sport, which has the 20x9 wheels. From what I've found in one of the...

    Lurker saying hello

Thanks again for the welcomes! Geoff, I've been spending a lot of time in the 4th Gen forums reading current and older posts, trying to learn as much as I can before asking questions. I'm learning, and generating questions to ask at the same time. Seems to be a never ending cycle.

    Lurker saying hello

Been lurking here for a couple of months, and it's time to introduce myself. I am a long time Ford fan, who is now driving his second Ram. Ford's have proven to be too expensive and I like the styling of the Ram's better anyway. I bought a 2012 quad cab 1500 in 2014, and had planned to have...
