I bought the tanks and parts to make my own CO2 system off of Amazon. In my area in TX empty tanks are exchanged for full ones at Airgas or Praxair.
If you go with a Power Tank, find a vendor willing to fill them prior to purchase.
With your setup, take a look at an alucab clam shell. They set up easy and hold the bedding. You can also hang a 270 awning off the side and put up sides for a large enclosed area.
Your tent will be 7ft off the ground, you may want to look for something easy to set up and put away. Dragging up...
The roof will support 190lbs or so. The tent below is a S African Bundutec. It opens and closes with the push of a button, has a light, two fans and two USB charging stations. It also holds 4 sleeping bags and two pillows. Camp set up and take down is effortless.
I'm currently working in Hawaii and planning the final options on my truck.
1. Some solar and battery to operate the lights and fans in the tent and item #2.
2. 12v fridge/freezer.
3. Awnings for shade.
4. Rear airlift as the truck is a little heavy fully loaded.
A couple of limitations...
There are other threads and some youtube videos of guys doing 37s on stock rims.
35s on stock rims will give you slight rubbing on the radius arms and not damage anything. The problem is they don't look much different than the 33s. Very underwhelming for $2k.
35s with +18 or better rims are...
I have 17x9+18s and had to do a lot of trimming. I have toyo MTs 37x13.5x17" tires. If I had bought KM3s instead, it might have req'd less trimming as the tire is a little shorter. Just my 2 cents.
All the camping gear I travel with is minimal and lightweight. All the recovery gear, the same. The bed has one footlocker of cooking stuff, the rest of the bed is empty. The ramboxes are also mostly empty. When my company sends me to a job, the truck has room to load my gear and all of the...
Attaching perforated metal to my bed cover proved to be a great modification. The low bedrack prevented the bed cover from opening anyway. It is now a shelf with plenty of tie downs and holds lots of stuff.
If your simply off roading and not hauling camping gear a smaller truck may be more practical. The larger truck allows for more gear, more comfort.
To me it's a no brainer when a decked-out Gladiator is about the same price as a PW. A PW is a lot more vehicle for the same price, has the same...
I went from a Gen 1 Raptor to a PW and it was the right choice for me. I had toyed with a smaller truck. A smaller truck will not haul more than your 200 series. The PW is easier to maneuver than a Raptor because it is not as wide. The disconnecting sway bars also come in handy over rough...
