    ROLL-UP INFO: FOTA 18.11.x & uC D/L 18.45.01 SW Update 13-17 RA3/Vp3-NA & Ra4 VP4-NA

Just wanted to confirm that I can update my 8.4 using a downloaded zip file(Ver 18.45.01) from a different VIN or from the shared zip file on mediafire referenced on this forum. There was a note on the uconnect site not to use the firmware with any other VINs. I apologize for the way I worded...

    2019 Tow Mirror Wiring

In search of schematic for the subject part. As I understand the pinouts have changed compared to the 2017 mirror connector. Has anyone installed tow mirrors without power fold from a 2017 1500 to a 2019 2500?

    Tire size change alfaOBD

For those considering changing to different wheels thought I’d share the difference in appearances to my 1500. The original style. The new style. I like the look of these new wheels!

    Tire size change alfaOBD

I just installed 20” Laramie wheels and tires on my 1500 and had the same issue. I followed instructions and on the last step got the same failure message when trying to clear rolls info. I tried twice without success until I changed the last step in the process. After Static ECU Initialization...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

The process involving the modification works and relatively inexpensive. My case was unusual and work intensive due to the HVAC module failure. Thanks again to STecoD, Ricks Ram, and jimmy07 for their support in this venture.

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

Monday ordered the HVAC module and it arrived today. It took all of 15 minutes to R/R the module and test the system. These are the results: Dual mode working normally. Ran control functions and temperature settings and now system cools and heats as expected. Success! The original HVAC...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

Sunday I rewired the actuator plug to the grey plug and checked continuity with positive results. Reinstalled the passenger temp actuator and used the troubleshooting guides provided by jimmy07 to pinpoint location of the HVAC issue. All the wiring checked normal but error codes B11C8 and B11C9...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

After family visits and other necessary events I was finally able to resume troubleshooting the HVAC issue last Saturday. To confirm that the actuator wasn’t binding I decided to remove the panel. l followed the same steps as before to disconnect and remove the actuator and confirmed the...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

Didn’t start troubleshooting until this afternoon. Cleared the codes and calibrated the actuators. Got the same fault codes again. Decided to replace the wire from the HVAC module to the grey inline plug. Just in case the pulse rate is being influenced by the type wire, used aircraft grade wire...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

I have already replaced the passenger and driver blend actuators with pn 68448026AA. Following the dash and box removal steps I removed the bolts securing the a/c lines to the fender so system evacuation wasn't necessary. This allowed enough movement of the box to gain access and R/R of the...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

Tested HVAC system without change, the passenger side temperature fluctuates randomly even when synced with the driver temperature setting. It will cool evenly but only when on max a/c setting.

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

This morning I checked and confirmed via alfaobd the dual zone ATC configuration but the radio still showed single zone MTC. As I ran a few errands and several restarts it showed the dual zone MTC configuration. I suppose more time for the setting to take and show correctly. It is then I will...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

Spent the afternoon testing the conversion harness. Removed the entire harness including the temp sensor and mirror harness lead. Soldered two terminals for the temp sensor at the HVAC connector, pin 2(ground) and 12(cabin temp signal). The BCM had reset to single zone MTC so used alfaobd to...

How to: Add Dual Zone ATC to a Tradesman

I have compared the HVAC functions with a Laramie belonging to my neighbor and discovered my issue is deeper. I did replace the sun sensor with a dual zone unit without any difference in performance. After a visit to the dealership regarding another matter, I changed out the driver and passenger...

    Radio Button Control Swap

My steering wheel back cover had the buttons factory installed so the initial installation placed the volume on the right side. When I tried to install the volume button on the left side it popped back out because the notch was in the opposite corner of the back cover.

    Radio Button Control Swap

That is correct. Make sure the buttons are installed in the back steering wheel cover as shown in the last photo.(I reapplied the labels right side up). Harness is just as received from AllMoparParts.com, no modifications. I just detailed the discovery process and solution.

    Radio Button Control Swap

Installed the steering wheel and tested the control button functions. All tested as desired and I can adjust volume on the left and channels on the right. Much more comfortable, for me at least.
