    The big 3 all jump back and forth in competition, always have. Ford threw an uppercut with the 7.3 pushrod engine paired with 10 spd auto but 6.4 with 8spd has been proven. I'd take the Ram over the Chevy in many aspects with gas mileage being a non issue in a work truck.

    Surely sounds like low ATF from factory, ridiculous. Dealer will likely add fluid and off you go.

    We've chained many tractor trailer's and always just the rear drive tires. I'd put your truck in 4WD and use low gearing before relying on trailer brakes in extreme conditions.

    Seems to be in the wheelhouse for that truck but be aware of 1500's limited payload. Smaller trailers generally weigh closer to GVWR so your looking at roughly a 800+ lb tounge. Add up your passengers and cargo + 800 and see where your at. Personally think you'll be fine.

    Been using canned tunes for years and never tell my dealer. Delete the tune and regain shifting. My guess would be line pressure from tune causing issues.

    Will be a great truck for sure. Be careful though with the ORV as they are heavy built trailers with big fresh water tank and lots of CCC. A good WDH is paramount.
