    Obdlink MX+ without Alfa software?

I agree. But have you tried using it for air bags and abs lights?? I have not since I haven’t had any of those issues since I’ve owned mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Obdlink MX+ without Alfa software?

I’ve used it as a stand alone code reader and got some use out of it but not for body related stuff. Mainly just for the engine and engine diagnostics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Alright, now I'm confused

Look into Rough Country lifts as I love my 4” on my 13 1500 Sport. It rides like a Cadillac and never had a problem with it. They’re cheaper than Zone and BDS. I’ve heard bad things about the brand he was talking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Powerstop brakes

I’ve had them for over a year on my truck with 0 issues. I went with the Z36 package front and back because my truck is lifted and I tow a boat off and on and they have not let me down. They would be overkill for a stock truck especially if you don’t tow and don’t have oversized tires, but is...

    JBA longtubes and cat delete

I agree with Wild One. I’ve had JBA long tube headers for a year and no issues at all. If you aren’t planning on getting a supercharger or turbo, go with the 1 3/4” version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Suspension Question

A couple things come to mind after reading your post. First, do you feel the vibration in the steering wheel or more in the seat only when there’s a vibration? Do you have any more tire noise than when you bought it? Like they sound like mudding tires vs more like normal street tires? What I’m...

    Friction modifier

From an old school GM mechanic’s point of view as well as teachings, it never hurt to add a touch more. I don’t think adding a little more than necessary every hurt but I would go adding extra bottles of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Base Speaker Upgrade

I can tell you that an amp will really wake up the system. I know Kicker makes one and Grey Goose could probably tell you the exact model and exactly how to install it. I had mine done for my because I travel way too much for work right now to do it myself. I love my DSR1 but it’s not an amp. I...

    Base Speaker Upgrade

How much money do you want to put into this? That’s the first and main question. Grey Goose is a great person to talk to about this! I just did a full upgrade minus the head unit but I went pretty much all JL Audio and it cost me almost $2000 in the end but it sounds great. The Rockford Fosgate...

    Upgrading system

Rockford Fosgate DSR1 is a great DSP that will connect straight to the system and allow you to add amps easily and then gives you an app to adjust all of the tones, speaker timing and levels individually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Has anyone removed their front lower grille?

I’ve done it twice now and the guys are right. Start in the center and work your way out. The problem is when you get to the sides the bumper brackets are in the way. You kind of have to pull the bumper cover out towards the front as you push in the insert. It will eventually break away. I think...

    Just installed PowerStop Z36...brakes...are noisy.

I never had any noises either after I installed mine. I literally put them on and pumped the brakes a few times and then went out and drove. I would take the truck up to 20 mph and then gently brake. I did that like 15 times and then off I went. Never had any real noises except for right now...

    1/4 time improvement

I agree with you as well as Nick. Although, the NOS can be extremely costly if it blows your engine because it wasn’t done right or the engine wasn’t built to handle it. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Just installed PowerStop Z36...brakes...are noisy.

Mine just turned 80k but my brakes only have maybe 10k on z36 brakes. I hear it a little bit first thing in the morning or after work or after the truck sits. I’m trying to figure out the best way to replace my brake hoses and calipers all at once and get the brake fluid flushed as well. Can you...

    Truck jerks when soft braking!!!

Dhay or firetruck both could be right. It could also just be a caliper hanging a little. Most likely it’s the right rear or front since it’s jerking right at the end. Try lining up the sliding pins and the metal clips that the pads set in 1 at a time and inspect the pads for wear. Sometimes a...

    Just installed PowerStop Z36...brakes...are noisy.

I use Power Stop brakes all the time. Some of it is normal. Did you lube up the metal clips that the pads ride on as well as the sliding pins? If not, take it apart and do that. The other thing could be that your calipers are old and just not releasing like they should. Sent from my iPhone...

Lol. You could always drill all the way through it and put a screw through it and put a lock but and washer on the other end? Or use a self tapping screw and washer to hold them in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
