Side step recommendations
I have Mopar side steps that were installed by the dealer when I bought my 2019 2500 CC 4x4 Tradesman. My wife at 5'3" can barely climb in and as I get older, it's harder for me getting in as well. Anyone know of a aftermarket step/running board that has the actual steps lower than the Mopar... -

Do the upper trim levels really add to the towing or drving experience?
My Tradesman has vinyl seats and rubber floor covering. Wipe the seats with an Armor All wipe or whatever and if it hits the floor, I could spray ot out with a water hose if I wanted.- dbctmc

Reducing Tire Pressure?
My '19 2500 recommends 60 front and 65 rear. I am pretty sure they are the same tires. Should be no reason you can't run them at that, but it might make tire pressure light come on. I will increase to 65 front and 70-75 rear when towing my camper (TT) then back it off if not towing or hauling...- dbctmc

Buying to tow
I got my '19 2500 cc 4x4 with the 6.4 Hemi, Tradesman with just a few options, for an even 40K brand new. So I just sold my new Ram
Hate to hear that you had problems. Mine has been great so far (16,000 miles). I think the MDS sound & vibration is more of an issue for us 6.4 owners. Most 5.7 owners don't seem to mind it. I really wish FCA/RAM would give us an option in the settings to permanently turn it off. It should...- dbctmc

Gear Indicator
The gear limit buttons are the magic trick. Press the down one to enter gear limit mode and the current gear shows at the top center of the instrument panel. Then press the up button till 8 is underlined and you have the transmission fully automatic and the gear displayed AND you just turned...- dbctmc

1/2 ton to 3/4 ton towing.....worth it?
I pull a Coachmen 310BHDS. It's 35.5 ft hitch to bumper and weighs about 8000 - 8500 lbs, depending on what we load into it. Pulled it for several years with my previous F-150 with all the max tow package. I use an Equalizer 4-point WDH. My 2019 Ram 2500 CC 4x4 with 6.4 Hemi definitely feels...- dbctmc

Tire recommendations
Looking like I'll be doing good to get 30,000 miles out of the stock Transforce HT's on my '19 2500 CC 4x4 Tradesman 6.4 SB. Tires are 275/70/18. Any recommendations on a good replacement tire that will last significantly longer? Might go with an A/T as I do have some snow to drive through...- dbctmc

Do I need to get a RAM 2500?
Agree with the recommendations for 2500 with 6.4. My 2019 tradesman 4 x 4 cc sb pulls my 9000 lbs, 36 ft travel trailer just fine, including up and down mountains. The 8 sp makes a tremendous difference vs previous years. The problem with "tow ratings" is that it's just a number. All...- dbctmc

Does anyone NOT modify their Rams and keep them stock?
Hard folding tonneau cover is all I've done. Probably will upgrade low beams to a brighter setup. Otherwise, just as it came off the line.- dbctmc

Passenger side mirror adjustment

2019 Ram 2500?
Drove my 2019 2500 cc 4x4 tradesman 6.4 hemi on a vacation trip from Virginia to Maine. Averaged 18.9 mpg for the entire trip, including the days driving around Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. On an all interstate highway tank, I got an even 20mpg. I consistently drive 4-5 mph over...- dbctmc

MDS....Did you turn it off or leave it on?
I switch mine into gear limit mode and press up till the 8 is underlined. Turns off MDS and still lets the transmission use all 8 gears. When warranty expires will probably get a programmer so I can leave it turned off. Doesnt seem to help mileage and I don't like the sound or the way it feels...- dbctmc

Anyone towing with there HD yet?
Just made my first trip with my camper, a 2014 Coachmen Freedom Express LE 310 BHDS, weighs around 8500 #, across a steep mountain on a 2-lane county road. The grade near the top is 11% and there are 2 big hairpin curves near the top that kill your momentum. The park is not far from my home...- dbctmc

Thanks. Does anyone know if the 8 spd is manually shiftable? In the photos I've seen, there is not a "M" setting on the shifter dial.- dbctmc
