No, if you were to use the OEM Bilsteins with the taller coils. What tire pressure are you running? I never experienced bouncing with the OEM suspension, but I didn’t run the tires at 65psi. Try drastically lowering your air pressure. I don’t recall what I had settled at with the duratrash...
Also to note, the 1.5 Thuren kit raised my front end a little over two inches. The Thuren springs may have settled with time but I never re-measured. Oh and my alignment has been great, didn’t even need to adjust my steering wheel. Probably the best affordable mod you can do.
I installed the Thuren Overland front yesterday and I am extremely happy with it. Truck sits dead level to my eyes, rides great, and no need for an alignment. It tracks straight down the road and I didn’t even need to adjust the steering wheel alignment. Quality parts from Thuren, fast...
For the original poster, could you please measure the distance from the swings pivot point to the far side of your spare tire, and what size is your spare?
my other truck, hence a reason why I can permanently have a shell on the wagon. I fabricated and welded a mount atop the flatbed headache rack for the 35x12.5” spare. Those are 37x13.5’s mounted. Is it cool looking, “Hell yes.” Practical, “No.”
I also posted this photo with boat attached...
I’d like to see it with a trailer attached.... something like a boat or enclosed trailer. How well would it clear? With a say 21’ boat attached, could you swing it open to open your tailgate? I’m thinking not, but maybe my thinking is wrong.
Or,I suppose you could crank the wheel, parking at...
37” x 12.50” KM3’s on OEM wheels and stock suspension. Slight rub on sway bar at full lock but not a problem. You can see in the photo where it runs. This is at 42psi front and 38 rear, and I think I still need to lower a bit for daily driving. The bfg does run small, which is one reason I...
My tires came in! Drive down there all excited to find that their power was out. Should have them on tomorrow morning. What a tease! 37” km3’s, sticking with OEM wheels and factory suspension.
This is as extreme as it gets on my property, no rocks or boulders to play on. Would love to have a rock garden! These two mounds were once a gap jump my kids would hit on dirt bikes in their younger years. Damn I need 37’s, gonna get them this winter.
I don’t always park it in there, being in California weather. Typically it’s only in there for maintenance, upgrades, or cleaning. Up top is an awning that is affixed with some custom brackets to the toppers factory rail.
