I love my 18. I came from a 2015 Cummins and I haven’t been disappointed with the Power Wagon in the least. It’s literally a jack of all trades truck and that’s why I love it.

My power wagon does the same. My 15 Cummins did it too but not as bad as the PW. I think it’s fairly normal depending on how severe the crown of the road banks.

Yeah it is a little disheartening to hear all these lifter failures. If mine craps the bed it will be in for warranty repair. Don't know if I'll keep it much past warranty at this point.

I had the same issue with mine once where it wouldn't pull up android auto amongst a few other little bugs. I unplugged the battery all day one day and after that never had an issue. My pixel 4 has no issues running android auto.

I'm under the thought that Mobil 1 does not meet the spec for our Hemi's. Also I think Mobil 1 is weak in the moly department as well.l from all the rest results I've seen floating around in these parts.

Good point. I've never thought about piston slap. I just remember hearing it almost Everytime I've started the vehicle. My hemi really isn't noisy on start up or if it is I don't even notice it. I've only ever heard it do it if you cold start it to move a short distance and shut it off, then...
I had a 2015 GMC Sierra with the 5.3. It had the cold start clatter. Those trucks seem to be reasonably fine over the long haul. My 6.4 hemi seems to be a bit better with the cold start clatter than the GMC.

I’ll be honest, the $10-15k less you’re gonna spend it’s hard to just snuff at it. The 18s are great and you can save quite a bit on them compared to the 19s. If you have to have the 8spd trans, all the newer bells and whistles, a newer style winch go with the 19. Both trucks are equally capable...
I had a similar thing happen to me when I bought my PW. They kept telling me they wanted another couple thousand dollars the following week I had bought my truck. I kept telling them that’s not gonna happen. They either make the deal work that we agreed upon or I’m coming back and getting my old...
The running boards are a factory option on the 18s. Funny thing is they are on backwards and the reason I know this is because I removed mine and later put them back on until I realized the curved in was facing rearward. I look at pictures when I first bought my truck they were on backwards. Oh...
Definitely looking forward to some completed pics. This looks very interesting to me. Would love to have that center console.

I came from a 15 Cummins to a 18 Power Wagon. Love the decision. 6.4 handles my towing needs with ease and never once have I regretted my decision. Cummins was great, I just didn't need a diesel.

Yeah mine was intermittent to the beat of my memory. I only noticed it a couple times before I replaced the filter. From memory if not using the OEM filters, it allows the fluid to bleed past the filter not allowing full line pressure within the trans initially. You have to wait until it builds...
So I had where if the truck sat overnight and I started it and go to shift to reverse and it would act like it was in neutral for a few seconds. From what I read the non factory mopar filters have been known to cause that.

I have not had those recalls on either of my trucks. What temp are you checking the fluid? If it’s not throwing any codes then you just may have a solenoid going out.

Yeah that plastic piece is known for cracking during installation and or if you didn’t tighten it just right the filter may back off. Also if you don’t run the factory Mopar spin on filter it will do exactly what your describing. I had a similar problem with a 68rfe in my 2015 Cummins. I had to...
May want to check the spin on filter plastic threads and see if it’s not cracked. I hear that sometimes can cause issues. Is the spin on filter a factory mopar filter?

My 18 does it as well. What’s funny is my 15 Cummins never did it and the only difference was the Cummins didn’t have the shock that’s on top of the differential.
