I guess what I'm reading is that the smart alternators don't work with regular battery isolators well enough to keep the second battery charged. On a long drive they shut down and provide no additional charge if not needed. So second battery takes longer to get charged. Just wonder if anyone has...
Hey, my truck is a 18 2500 5.7 I'm going to run a dual bat setup. Does anyone know if a regular smart isolator will run it or do I need the DC to DC. I'm just guessing pcm runs voltage regulation. Just going to use for winch and some lights. I get that DC to DC also gets me more battery choices...
Thanks. I'm glad no pcm stuff I figured out for the 18 it is on the driver side in that green plug. I am going to make my own harness. Tap into the 4 wires there. I wish I knew exactly what terminal brand it was it would be cool to make it totally factory. I think the brand is TE on the...

Hi,
Has anyone ever just changed the radio 3.0 to 3.0 with uconnect?
I realize I'll need the headliner microphones. But will it mess up my sat radio, I don't need the 5.0 really.
Any idea what's involved with wiring mics in? Plug and play?
Thanks
Shawn
