    This forum is great, so much valuable info. I just picked up a 2008 RAM 5.7 hemi to tow a 2000 lb trailer and 2800 lb race car. The multi-page & heavy owners manual states clearly that there are 2 indents on the shifter - TOW & OD OFF. But it does not give hints to when to use which settting...

    2008 1500 came with 3.92

    Searched the build sheet off the VIN to see how my used HEMI came from factory. It shows 3.92 rear gears which kind of surprised me, I was expecting something numerically lower. How about other owners who have checked, is mine common or unusual?
