    vibration and clunking/clicking when coasting

So after checking things over again before I left work yesterday, I found that the lug nuts on the wheel and tire that had come off on its own before, were loose, again. So with yesterday being the 3rd trip I had taken in the truck since I got it back, I'm now thinking that there maybe something...

    vibration and clunking/clicking when coasting

So original the *'ed part was just the word ******. That's just what I've called them. Not sure what they are actually called. Ones that lift one set of wheels of the ground. I edited the post to a wheel lift truck. Also truck was in 2wd when I checked it, and also when the wheel came off and...

    vibration and clunking/clicking when coasting

Truck: 2011 1500 CCSB Hemi 4x4 level in the front. Background, just incase it might be applicable: (I'll try to make this short) About a month ago, for reason nobody has owned up to or agreed on yet, the drivers rear wheel and tire came off my truck. Luckily I was only going about 20-30mph...

    Engine Turns over wont start

Agreed that the FOB probably has issues if it's not unlocking the doors. But I will mention that on my 2011 1500, I was having a no start issue that started intermittently, then just wouldn't start at all. On mine it was fuel pump relay, which unfortunately is a relay hard mounted to the...

Got new tires, found some interesting issues...

Yes I plan to replace the spacers with some Bilstien 6112s. Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock pretty much everywhere. The place i was planning to get them from said it would be mid-May before they got any. I was mostly worried something bad might have been off since one tire was...

Got new tires, found some interesting issues...

Also, something else I found, but not sure if it's and issue. I'm not real familiar with Rams 4wheel drive. When off the ground I can spin the passenger side front tire no problem, but the driver side will spin a few degrees then stops kind of like a rear wheel does if you have the truck in...

Got new tires, found some interesting issues...

So truck is a 2011 1500 CCSB 5.7 Laramine 4x4, I have had it for about 2 years. I believe I am the 4th owner. Truck has front leveling spacers that were on it when I got it, and the dealer had put brand new stock size tires on it. It has the factory 20" crome clad wheels. Anyway on to the...

Good example of why I prefer more truck than a half ton

Oh yeah, would not have towed it the first time without one. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Good example of why I prefer more truck than a half ton

So far I have not had any wiggle issues. My biggest concern is that this particular camper, though not a toy hauler, IMO has the axles set a little further rearward than it really needs. Like i said, its only 5600lbs dry and GVW is 7100lbs but the tongue weight seems high even mostly unloaded...

Good example of why I prefer more truck than a half ton

Yes the GCVWR is what i was really looking for, so when i eventually hit the scales i know what I'm shooting for. 30' and about 7000lbs(wet) is about as big as I want to go with my truck, just for my piece of mind. I tried to talk my wife into looking around for something smaller, but after...

Good example of why I prefer more truck than a half ton

Thanks, MADDOG! I thought i was at 9800lbs, mainly because of the package, and I thought that was as high as the rating went. 10,050 seems like a bite much for my size truck. Not that i would even want to tow 9800, but i guess that gives me some wiggle room.

Good example of why I prefer more truck than a half ton

Yep, been there signed up and input the VIN. Was one of the fist places i went to. Problem is when i navigate to the area label "Towing and Payload" it say "Sorry, your towing and payload information is not available. Please check your owner's manual for towing and payload details." Check the...

Good example of why I prefer more truck than a half ton

So I have some questions for everybody on the subject of towing with a 1/2 ton. I have '11 1500 laramie 5.7 CCSB 4WD, and I have used it to tow my in-laws TT twice. The TT is 30ft 5600lbs dry with GVW of 7100lbs, and both times the truck towed it pretty comfortably with 2 adults, 1 child and 2...

Cylinder #1 misfire (P0301) and CEL, but only at 4500/5000 rpm and above

Ok, I have a '11 1500, 5.7Hemi 163k miles, and am having very similar issues with P0301 at 4k-4500 rpm. Then it goes away and drives fine. The truck is my daily driver ~60mile trip 5days/week. I have had the truck for a year, and granted it has only done this to me 4-5 times, only at these RPMs...

    4.7 water pump

Replaced the water pump on my 2011 5.7 a couple months ago, and was able to get a Mopar brand water pump from rockauto. It's not the cheapest, but I didn't think it was a terrible price. Mine was leaking, and the block surface had some oxidation in the area it was leaking. So I hit with sand...

New guy...'11 Ram, intro and question

Hello guys, so I had an '05 Titan for 11yrs and at 262k miles the tranny final started to act strange, so traded it for 2011 Ram 1500 CC 4x4 Larmine, it's a little high mileage (142k miles) and has been through a couple owner but seems pretty well taken care of. More importantly it was in the...
