So silly how those simple solutions to issues I have had forever! Great tip!

    First DA orbital polisher

Thanks for the info. Certainly having twice the amps makes sense for better results. I have been a longtime user of the PC but have at times been frustrated at how slow it is to garner any real results. Sounds like the G9 is a good step toward something more aggressive.

    First DA orbital polisher

The PC 7424XP is what I am referring to as the PC. So you say that the G9 is more powerful/aggressive (faster results) than the PC?

    First DA orbital polisher

Does anyone have experience with both the G9 and the PC? I would be curious if one out performs the other? I believe that DA's are inherently intended for the DIY'er. You basically can't damage your paint with one unless you turned it around and started beating your paint with it. With that...

    Chemical guys?

There are some folks that really don't like them. The complaint I've heard is that their products are consumer products at pro-sumer prices. I have used a number of their products and don't really have any complaints about them. I like their Honeydew shampoo for my foam cannon and I currently...

    First DA orbital polisher

You can't go wrong with the PC. A couple of pointers if you are new to DA's. - Get a good 12 gauge extension cord and probably keep it under 20 feet. Don't skimp here, too much load will burn the tool up. - It is really easy to use too much pressure. You won't do any damage to anything by...

A Tip That Keeps Your Ride(s) Cleaner For Longer

LOL....I thought my neighbors looked at me funny when I am drying off my truck with a leaf blower. Can't imagine their thoughts if they saw me outside at night rinsing my truck in the rain! Regardless, this makes sense. I'll give it a try next time

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

See Midnight Storm's post and steps above. He pretty much nails it. I personally rinse after the foam and before the 2 bucket. This way any particles that the foam is carrying away is carried away before I drag it across the paint with the mitt, but this maybe being a bit cautious. The whole...

Does that handle in your picture have any special use or function? Why don't you just buy a different handle that has the quick connector...

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

I have always heard to use electric because the dirty exhaust from the the 2 cycle engine just falls back on your car. Which makes sense to me.

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

It just depends on how important perfect paint is to you. If I drove a white or silver truck, I wouldn't be anywhere near as picky. I have a black truck and try to keep touching the paint to a bare minimum and any dirt particles that I can remove without touching the paint the better which is...

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

I have. Well, I still have a bucket of suds and water. Otherwise, I feel like it isn't lubed enough to rub a mitt across my paint (I never put a brush on paint). If your doing that though, you mine as well rinse after the cannon to get rid of those dirt particles

Paint correction on DD, breaking it up

Great job! Those before and afters are really impressive! How many times are you doing a panel with the 105?

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

I've been using Honeydew for a couple years now. I like the stuff. I am almost out and was looking around. Now every company out there has "foam cannon shampoo". Many of whom have multiple options. I have no idea what the differences are in them! Oh well I'll stick to what I know. Also, out of...

    Uconnect App

The Ram/Uconnect/Sirius thing is very confusing. Specifically the Sirius part. You have Sirus Radio (1 year free then subscription), Then there is Sirius Travel Link (5 years free (looks like this is transferable to new owner). Weather, sports scores, gas prices etc...). Then their is Sirius...

    Uconnect App

I have a 2019 Limited with 12" screen. I bought the vehicle used. Is there a way to get a partially functioning Unconnect? In my 16 Silverado the GM app still had stuff like remote start and lock/unlock even if you didn't subscribe to OnStar. Is there anything like that for my Ram? Or do I have...

What gas are you running in your 19 5.7's?

Great point. If I were that concerned then I shouldn't own this vehicle! I have just been surprised at some of the mileages that have been reported

What gas are you running in your 19 5.7's?

I don't know what I am doing wrong. Several people reporting 19 to 21 MPG with someone reporting 24MPG. I drive 35miles round trip to work daily and this is in Atlanta traffic so stop and go a lot of the time so I get that my mileage isn't going to be on the best but it seems like being 5 to...

Winter time wash method - Rinse less/Waterless ?

Man...I don't know about that. I have heard about really harsh chemicals being used in those. I spent a lot of money (to me) getting the ceramic coating and not sure that I trust it will withstand whatever they are using in those touchless tunnels.

Winter time wash method - Rinse less/Waterless ?

Pretty much what I do in the hot weather. You are correct, winter is nothing like what you have but still not usually desirable to play in water! You guys sound like your on the same page as I was thinking regarding the rinse less/water less products

Winter time wash method - Rinse less/Waterless ?

@tones2SS - your comment about water less scratching is exactly what it seems like to me. Like trying to wash your truck with quick detail spray (which it maybe fine for well kept paint that isn't really dirty). So you're basically saying to suck it up, get cold uh?? :)

Winter time wash method - Rinse less/Waterless ?

I have a black ceramic coated 19 and live in Georgia. We aren't anywhere near close to it yet, but what do you do to keep up with your washes in the winter time? My truck is a daily driver and is never garaged. I am quite anal about my paint and swirl marks in black paint are the things of...

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

@Chris Kyle - Don't expect that you're going to get every last drop with the blower. Also, it is a bit unweildly (you'll understand what I mean). I usually have to go back with some QD and a clean dry micro fiber and hit the few spots that require additional attention. I am trying to figure...

First Blast with the Foam Cannon

I'm a believer that if you're touching your paint your damaging your paint. So, I use a leaf blower (electric or battery never gas (gas emits fumes that will land on your paint)). Your neighbors might look at you like you've lost your mind but it works without contacting the paint. It also does...
