Service DEF System message
Any way to disable the mileage limp mode so you can at least get to your destination. I use alphaOBD as well.- Tdecoursey

DEF system
I had the same issue. Out of the blue with the def tank full I got a engine light the def light come on 200 miles till 5 mph. Dodge dealer says it’s a bad pump but I am not convinced. P203B and P203F were the codes. I tried to clear them but they came back. $2500.00 there quoting. F***ing...- Tdecoursey

2500 vs 3500 Payload
Figured out fairly close to what the airbags on a 2500 can handle. I am going to guess 3000lbs. Today I filled a 250 gallon square chemical tank to the rim and put it on a scale at the metal salvage yard. Airbags leveled out nicely with no issues. If RAM did change the door sticker on the fly I suspect those vehicles with air suspension would have to be more robust. I am not sure when protection mode kicks in on the 2500 compressors but I would assume if you increase the payload sticker you would have to either electronically change that...- Tdecoursey

I am wondering if you have air suspension or coils on yours? I have air, and had 2200 lbs of dirt in the back last week redoing my lawn. The suspension leveled fine, no alarms, so I am guessing the air bag system probably uses the rear Gawr as it’s gauge ???- Tdecoursey

My thoughts is the rating on the door is simply what’s left over from 10000 lbs taxed weight. If you have a gawr of 6500 and your rear weighs 3180 which is what my 2014 2500 Mega cab longhorn weighs than you clearly have 3000 lbs to work with. I have a 2500 longhorn mega cab and my payload is 1580. No figure but I pull 2547lbs of payload with no issues. I have The air suspension and has never alarmed. 2500 vs 3500 Payload
So I am a bit confused. We all know what the payload is for a 2014 Ram 2500 as its easily calculable by the inside the door. So the question is, what is the payload it’s really capable of handling. Hard #’s. Same as a 3500? Not what Ram says for liability purposes but what it really can handle?- Tdecoursey
