    Red neutral light comes on than off when starting

    Just noticed today when starting my 2018 Ram 2500 6.4 the red neutral light comes on in the 4x4 cluster by the selector switch than goes right off. I may have always done this but I never noticed it and see nothing in the book or search.

    What gear am I in

    2018 6.4 Hemi 2500 with 373 gear. Seen post about being in 2-3rd gear when pulling a grade. Without manually changing gears how do you know which one your in and what RPM should you maintain. Pulling a 36’ fifth wheel approximately 12000 lbs.

    How do you know what gear your in.

    Have a 2018 Tradesman 6.4 Hemi and 373 gear. Have seen people talk about pulling up a grade and transmission automatically shifts to 2nd or 3rd gear, how do you know what gear your in unless you manually change it yourself. Use to my Cummins where I didn’t have to worry about it in mountains...

    Unhappy with 6.4 hemi

    Keep the 2018 2500 6.4 Hemi 373 gears or trade. Traded in a 2007 3500 with Cummins and 410 gears, the new truck is a great truck and pulls my 10,000 lb rv great on flat land but not happy about the hills. Another thing I didn’t keep in mind was refueling at gas stations, was use to truck stops...
