    6.7L Water Pump

I went ahead and replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, belt, idler pulley and tensioner. I figured it was a good time to get everything. I went with Gates for everything. They had a good kit at Rock Auto. The old pump seemed to be in decent condition. I set it on a shelf just...

    6.7L Water Pump

Back when I had my 5.9L, I put a bunch of miles on it and had the water pump start leaking a couple of times (about every 120k). I just started a habit of replacing the water pump every 100k as a preventative measure. It didn't bother me because it was a $50 part and two bolts. It was worth...

    Best Center Support Driveshaft Bearing

Update: The Mopar replacement went on without an issue. I haven't put a ton of miles on since, but I check the new bearing every now and then to make sure there are no issues. So far, so good. The rubber part still looks brand new, so I think this one will be fine.

    Best Center Support Driveshaft Bearing

I was going off who had it with O'Reilly. Napa was $300 at the time for some reason, but about the same as Mopar now. I ended up getting a Mopar from Rock Auto by p/n since DHL shipping in 2 days was only a couple bucks more than standard. It doesn't show under the normal lookup for some...

    Best Center Support Driveshaft Bearing

On my '12 3500 4wd (stock suspension/driveline), I was getting a noise at speed that was getting more annoying. Looking into it, I found it was the center support bearing on the driveshaft. It wasn't seized l and the rubber was fine, just noisy when spinning. With 110k miles, not a big deal...

    Mega Cab Steps Installed (pics)

I ended up going with the aluminum N-Fab steps. I like how they look and they work well. They could be an inch or so higher, but it doesn't hurt the clearance too much. It kind of looks like they stick down more than they actually do because they stick out further. 20190910_191323 by...

    Engine Oil Choice 2012 6.7L

Thanks for the info. That's why I didn't have any issues buying one with 100k. My '03 5.9 had 280k when I traded it. I had replaced one injector, and it was probably time for the rest as well. However, I couldn't complain at the time. (never should have traded it though).

Would you use tow haul mode if pulling a small boat?

When I had my '14 with the Hemi, I wouldn't use tow/haul for my empty 2000lb trailer, but I would use it when I loaded something heavy on the trailer. Besides changing the shift points, the tow/haul mode will keep the transmission from shifting gears more often than necessary. For 400-500lbs...

    Engine Oil Choice 2012 6.7L

This may be a topic that has been beaten to death before, but I'm new to the 6.7 world (had a 5.9 years ago). The manual says 5W40 synthetic for under 0 deg F and 15W40 otherwise. I'm in Colorado, so it does get that cold a few times a year, and I don't have a place to plug the block heater in...

Service ABS system, traction control, trailer break system etc.

From your description, it sounds like the lights don't come on unless you hit the brakes in a situation that would cause the ABS to activate? Does that sound accurate? It's difficult to tell what it might be without pulling the codes from the ABS module, so you probably want to figure out a...

    Mega Cab Steps

I ended up ordering N-Fab Predator Pro steps. They have ones specific to the Mega Cab. I'll post pictures once I have them installed.

    Mega Cab Steps

Hello, new member here, but long time Ram owner. I just picked up a 2012 Ram 3500 mega cab. I'm looking at getting some cab steps, however many of the models indicate that they are for "crew cab" and only a few for the mega cab. Does anyone know if the mounting holes underneath are in the...
