    I thought about that. Hope not, just put a full tank in her. Fuel filter is integrated into the pump assy on these correct? Maybe I'll hook up a fuel pressure gauge and tape it to the windshield while driving and see if I'm losing pressure when it acts up.

    Finally got around to installing the new unit and it fixed the issue, works perfectly now. The heat is not as hot as I think it should be, but that's most likely another issue that I'll need to look into. Hopefully this helps someone in the future.

    Thanks for the compliments guys. I did remove the throttle body to clean it out as well as clean the IAC valve. I looked in the plenum and it was very clean, no oil or oil puddles at all. Plugs look good as well. Going to assume the plenum is OK for now. I run the truck on 87 and no pinging...
