    5.7 Hemi Heads Upgrades

Well I have never priced his items, I just raced with him for many years and have seen what his team has done. He is a great competitor and and an all around great guy too. He has at least two 200 mph club hats/rings to show for it. I only have one

    2021 Longhorn Rear Floormats cracking

I took mine out as soon as I bought the truck and put in a full set of Weathertech mats. They fit a lot better with more coverage etc. Its an out of pocket expense but I think worth it

    5.7 Hemi Heads Upgrades

Jesel valve train is what I would want in mine. They make a lot of stuff for nascar and Wayne jesel is a friend of mine and has personally driven his ram 1500 highly modified to numerous land speed records at Bonneville. He knows these engines as well as anyone in the world does and his company...

    Old age and detailing.

I am 58 and still do all my own hand washing, clay bar, polishing and even ceramic coatings on my cars, truck and even a motorhome. It keeps me young !!

    Synthetic vs Ester-Synthetic

Here is part 1 of an article I WROTE several years ago for Sport Rider Magazine which is a motorcycle magazine. It is aimed at motorcycles but it does have a lot of info that may answer the basic questions on the differences in Group III. IV and V oils...

    Which coolant

When I get a new vehicle I usually go by parts department and pick up a few things to have on hand. Coolant, a few oil filters, one air filter one cabin air filter, and power steering fluid. Brake fluid fortunately is usually dot 3 or 4 and more universal. You will be surprised how affordable...

How many car washes are too many washes?

1 x is 1 x too many for me. I hand wash my vehicles only and have since I got my first car in 1979. I would never use a wash that had any brushes ever. A touchless in the winter when its too cold etc is acceptable but thats it for me. Those brush washes will ruin the paint

    To ceramic coat or not?

Up until now I have been using Carpro CQuartz UK 3.0 topped with glass. But just tried ArtDeshine Graphene and even with one layer it feels way better to me than the 2 coats of UK and topped by Gliss. The ArtDeshine I have is the professional stuff and it isn't cheap. About $200 for enough for...

Led for 3rd Brake light on New Gen 5s

I bought mine at the local Oreiley auto parts. I think it was Sylvania and it worked great. While you have the light out make sure you add a better rubber gasket to prevent leaks. Its a common area for leaks

    Fluid change

You posted this in a section of the board about detailing so it may not get many replies. Try posting again in a more suitable forum and I bet you will get a lot more responses. And no it is not bad doing them at 79K. The differentials and center transfer case will yield a complete drain and...

    New Oil change question

I am almost 57 years old snd I have changed the oil in everything I have ever owned since I was a kid with a dirt bike. Lawnmowers, tractors cars, trucks, racing motorcycles, and Motorhome’s that hold 6-7 gallons. In all those years and the hundreds of oil changes I have yet to see all this...

When is it OK to wax a new vehicle?

There are so many products that are better than plain ole "paste wax". Easier to apply, last longer, look better etc. Please consider using a modern paint sealant or even a spray on sealant will outlast the paste wax and its a lot easier to use too.

    Royal Purple Oil Filter?

Will that filter fit on a 2019 5.7? I want to order a few and try them. My truck sits for a week or two sometimes and it really sounds off after that long down.

Hear me out.. Does a Pedal Commander really work??

I’m too cheap and besides I am just sitting there anyway driving. It’s not that much harder to just press the pedal an extra .25-.50” if I wanna go faster or pass a car etc. I am sure it’s nice to have but the pedal is infinitely adjustable by my super fast brain that provides me instant...

ETorque ? Anyone happy with it? Reliability ?

8500 miles on my E Torque and I am glad I have it. Its not huge but I like the technology and so far no problems at all. I would not go out of the way to buy it but if I found a truck with it and the other options are what I wanted I would get it
