Ram 1500 to 2500 Bed Sizes for bed topper

I will, have to get it painted to match the truck first. Right now the truck is Austin Tan (re: brown) with a silver cap. It actually doesn't look bad, but not the look I was going for. Amazingly, toppers are hard to find used. I did find out that the one I picked up was made in 2018, so fairly...

Ram 1500 to 2500 Bed Sizes for bed topper

I picked up the topper today and it fits. I wired up the third brake light, thank you Dodge for leaving a pigtail for the brake light above the spare! Now to get it cleaned up and painted to match the truck! (It's silver, the truck is brown...)

Ram 1500 to 2500 Bed Sizes for bed topper

I've been looking for a bed topper for my 2010 2500 megacab (short bed - 6'4"). I've found one about 3.5hrs away that came off of a 2015 Ram 1500 6'4" bed. I can't find much information on line other than Dodge calls the 6'4" for the 1500 a mid size bed and the 6'4" for the 2500 a short bed. Are...

Factory Running Boards from 2018 Ram 2500

Are you heading to Florida or going to be near Georgia any time soon? I'll take them if you are. Current drive time to Hattiesburg is 6hrs 45min.

    Front Driveshaft

Ok, I've been reading and watching video's (I know, I know) and they all say that they can turn their front driveshaft by hand when in park, 2h and everything off. I'm pretty sure they were on newer (2014+) rams though. I wanted to make sure. I'll jack the front of the truck up this weekend and...

    Front Driveshaft

I have a new to me 2010 Ram 2500 Big Horn edition. I'm in the process of going through everything - changing fluids etc. I'm about to grease the front driveshaft but can't turn it by hand. I thought I had read that I should be able to, but then I read that the 4wd system changed in 2014. Does...

    Transmission seal leak?

Looks like the drive shafts have to be removed, tranny dropped etc. If I were doing it myself it'd be a couple day project!

    Transmission seal leak?

It's engine oil. A light coating in the bell housing.

    Transmission seal leak?

I pulled the torque cover inspection plate and didn't see any oil. Ran my finger along the inside of the bell housing and came away with a very light coating of oil, so there's a leak although not huge. I cleaned up some other spots on the outside of the transmission case and will monitor. I did...

I'll do that today, anything I should look for/at while I have it off?

    Transmission seal leak?

I'll have to get it fixed soon, will be towing a car from Georgia to Texas by way of Missouri this summer. Then pulling a 34' Airstream around the country for awhile. I need all I can get!

    Transmission seal leak?

Well, sounds like it'll need to be fixed. Thanks for the input everyone. I have no idea how long it's been like this as I just bought the truck and haven't put many miles on it. Will driving with it like this cause any lasting damage or do I just need to keep an eye on the oil level? Edit: The...

    Transmission seal leak?

I cleaned the cover and surrounding area some more and went for a 14 mile drive. Found oil weeping out from the cover - picture attached. I'm assuming this means the rear main is leaking and will need to be replaced? Anyone have any thoughts on cost? Thanks for all the help so far!

    Transmission seal leak?

I'm guessing there's fluid behind that cover?

    Transmission seal leak?

I'm going to take it for a spin and get it warmed up. I just got done cleaning it off, that area was covered in old buildup so the leak I was seeing was picking that up and I couldn't tell if it was tranny or oil. I'll get back to you.

    Transmission seal leak?

I seem to have a small leak coming from the part circled in red in the attached picture. I can't seem to find a description of the part on google, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm assuming there's a gasket under there... Thanks!

    Sweet! Thanks!

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

I will! I found there's not a whole lot of info on the internet for removing the bed and even some discussion that the OEM hitch was welded to frame (it's not on mine at least). I just started taking things apart. I'll document putting it back together.

    Re-Gen mode

Any luck on this? I just received my OBDLinkMX+ and am looking for the information you have setup on Torque Pro. Any chance you can spell out how you setup the gauges in Torque Pro - or at least the PIDS you used?

What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?

I installed the JHD Lighting “Mirror running light kit” so that my tow mirrors now act as running lights and blinkers. I also removed the front fender liners and cleaned out all the leaves & dirt that had accumulated behind the panels. It's amazing how much crap builds up there. I'm waiting on...

    Need new hitch

I've been looking at this one: https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Dodge/Ram+Pickup/2010/DT45509.html?VehicleID=201047523 Be aware you'll need to lift the bed to remove the factory hitch, it is sandwiched between the bed and the frame.

    Oil Change

New to me 2010 2500, I just changed the oil, do I need to reset the computer so it doesn't tell me in 3 weeks that I need to do it again? If so how do I go about it? Thanks!
