OK, found it. It is above the headliner on the passenger side. I appreciate the help on that. It's just a little further toward the center than I thought so wasn't looking far enough. It's kind of a lousy location but once I knew where it was it wasn't all that hard to replace it.
good to know. Thanks. I'll have to get a scanner that can do that
Added: I'm actually starting to suspect the Park Assist Module rather than the switch.
the Mini Maxx is also a code reader. I had a low voltage code at one time that corrected with new batteries and I was able to clear it with the Mini Maxx.
Added: I pulled the cluster containing that button from the dash. It looks like the entire cluster would need to be replaced rather than...
Sigh...Now I feel dumb. I didn't realize there is a button specifically for that in addition to the dash settings. However, there is a light on that button that is lit when the sensors are turned off. When I press that button the light stays on and the sensors remain disabled. It won't let...
Thanks, I double checked. No codes. I've had the truck about 2 years and it worked when I got it. If all 4 sensors are bad is that the message I would get?
I'm sorry if this has been discussed but can't find this particular issue posted here.
My truck has the 4 sensors in the rear bumper and I have the Parking Assist enabled in the dash settings. I can select Disable, Sound Only, Sound and Display. I've tried both Sound Only and Sound and...
I have the Tekonsha P2 myself. It's far superior to the OEM controller that came with my rig. It just plugs in to the factory harness as stated above (you do need to get the adapter harness for your truck).
My only issue is that I now have a "check controller" indicator on my dash because it...
Was the truck new when you bought it or did you buy it used? It looks like someone got into that harness to grab access to one of the wires. Perhaps for a brake controller? Or a CB?
My truck came with the bags installed. I added the wireless pump system. It's great for regulating/managing bounce when pulling the 5er and I love the on-the-fly changes to suit the moment.
I bought a 2012 diesel 3500 used last year. In reading through the service documentation I saw one that referred to a ticking sound. The tech said that the crank dampener was separating from itself, moving inward against the timing cover. It also ruined the belt. They replaced the crankshaft...
OK, I opened up the dash and found that the original owner had installed a My Gig Lock Pick. On a whim I decided to disconnect it and reconnect the OEM plugs into the radio. Everything came back on. Clearly something wrong with the Lock Pick. Just leaving it out for now. I've lost the added...
I'm sorry if this is a duplicate. I'm new to the forum and couldn't find this info.
My RAM has the OEM touch screen radio and Alpine system. The radio has no power. The 30amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood is good. I've seen others online that have found an inline 20 amp fuse as well...
