Found a you tube video of a guy doing one on a F150, looked about the same as the one for RAM, while he had the unit removed, later said could be done so without removing the unit.
I changed the fluid on my truck at 50k, ran it a couple hundred miles and drain and fill again, did the same a third time where the fluid was red just to make sure had about 95% new fluid, also the PPE pan makes the next drain so easy as the drain plug is easily accsessible.
I god a decent deal...
What year is your Harley, on my 2014 FXDL that tranny shifts as smooth as a hot knife thru warm butter and simple to find neutral, on the other hand my 21 Road Glide Limited is noiser shifting and a bit more tricky to find neutral. I run Amsoil V Twin primary and their transmission oil in the...
I did 3 drain and fills when servicing my trans, I just shifted it from forward to reverse numerous times to adjust the level as shown in one of the videos. Am now wondering if it is correct as now many say have to let it shift to 2nd gear before adjusting the final level?
Would sure love to...
Removed them on my truck also, warm up time is the same as before and coolant temp more stable, runs between 198-204 on factory t stat. Also don't get the spikes up to 220 any more.
I remember when R410A came out we had to buy another set of gauges due to the much higher operating pressures.
Would hate to be in the machine room of a big chiller when that high pressure relief valve let go.
R22 works great for medium and high temp applications however for low temp use it sucks as it runs very high discharge temps and causes a lot of sludge. Use to have to change oil on a low temp R22 system, it looked like year old coffee.
In my last 10 years before retiring I saw many new refrigerants come out that were so called non ozone depleting, they are being phased out now because they say they cause global warming.
IMO the old CFC refrigerants worked great. What better way to grow the industry by claiming they caused...
I worked in the refrigeration service industry for 38 years and had never heard of R1234YF until buying the Ram. Saw so many new flavors of refrigerant come and go the last 10 years before retiring, would not be surprised it 1234YF is discontinued soon. My opinion the old R12 worked better than...
Since buying a 2021 Road Glide Limited the comfort is fantastic compared to the 2014 Dyna, have done Sturgis twice along with several other 2 to 3k mile trips on it. That is some fantastic riding around Durango, the Million Dollar Highway is beautiful in the fall.
I removed my grill shutters the other day, just left the upper and lower ones. Was getting temp spikes up to 220 deg going up hill before, now temp is stable between 198-204 deg, no spikes when under heavy loads. were staying closed even when up to temp.
That is true, I did not think of that. Guess will just keep using the button to deactivate it as is about a thousand bucks to have a shop re program the computer.
While on this subject, does anyone out there know if the MDS solenoids energize or de energize to load? If they de energize to load am thinking that one could just disconnect the wire to the MDS solenoids to permanently disable it as I always disable it with the transmission selector buttons.

I used Redline 75-140 in the rear, it already has the LSD additive and it works fine, the TC I used Redline C+ also no issues and is half the price of the Mopar stuff.
