@pacofortacos - Wheel looks solid aluminum but interesting fact that the chrome clad pops off and leaves the right diameter for the spare drop down bracket.
Collective Summary: I believe the best decision is to leave the 20” spare in the truck bed unaltered when towing and in the meantime look for a 20” truck in a salvage yard and take the 20” steel wheel spare to use since the new steel wheel option link posted earlier is out of stock. Thank you to...
I’m looking to replace the current 17” spare on my 2019 1500 Classic with a 20”. The problem is the regular 20” rim (pic attached) has too small of a center hole so the toggle on the end of the cable that holds the spare won’t fit through it, basically I’d like to know if someone successfully...
19, 34k Classic 5.7 Hemi 4x4 and already replaced a rear ABS sensor due to a discarded wire fence in a field. Dealer cost of $435. As my Daddy says “It’s all part of Hot Rodding.”
Interesting since my 2019 1500 Classic SLT doesn’t have the fold floor option as standard, so I agree with you that it’s got to be standard on Bighorn, Laramie & Limited trim packages.
Decided on ordering a trifold soft ODERO cover, DIY ODERO trailer hitch and 3-D printed ODERO weather tech floor mats for a total of $280 and couldn’t be happier, but I haven’t seen any rain yet. Thanks for the feedback!
Got my truck back from the dealership and they said nothing mechanical was wrong with the 4x4 Transfer Case or anything else but I paid $150 for the full system diagnostic check and now I’m happier with more peace of mind about my recent truck purchase.
I am still discussing this undocumented “Work Around” with my Service Advisor and since it's still under warranty they agreed to evaluate this further by leaving the truck with them on Monday morning. Any final thoughts because I'll post the resolution when I get my truck back from the Service...
@Tach_tech Before I left my work parking lot I tried and tried multiple times to get it out of 4wd and into 2wd for the ride home but it only succeeded when I arrived at the dealership after they backed it up within 5 feet and pushed the 2wd button.
@Tach_tech - You are dead on accurate. I was leaving a parking lot after work and I never got it out of 4wd or never had to back up the truck until I was at the Ram dealership. Final note: The “Work Around” is not documented anywhere so I’m of the opinion it’s problematic of more potential...
Hi Members,
The reason for my question is that with 31K miles for some reason my 4x4 HI mode remains on when I try to switch back to 2WD. Plus, the 4x4 dashboard indicator turns off to confirm I should be in 2WD? Has anybody else experienced this problem? Note: I always follow the manuals...
Thanks for posting the pictures @FamilyRAM I have to admit I really like the diamondback flatbed (stand on it all day and trim trees), but as a first cover mod not so much. However, I agree it’s something worth saving up for at some point potentially but the next mods for me are adding the...
